No we sail in 17 days. They won't budge, spent 30 minutes talking to them. What a crock of crap.
You're right! It really is! I would have been doing the same thing and would be fuming. I'm so sorry that this has happened to you. :(
-
On the phone with them now, they are saying it's Spring Break pricing for the drink package- are you freaking kidding me????
Trying to figure out why you are seeing one price and I'm seeing another. We're sailing in 5 weeks- which I understand is still considered Spring Break and I have the lesser price. By any chance is your cruise less than 7 nights? I've been told that the college crowd goes for the shorter cruises.
OR - maybe April isn't considered Spring Break for colleges. I know that Pitt always has graduation that last Sunday in April.
-
I know it says that but that probably isn't correct. It said the same when I bought ours but the price DID include gratuity. Since it's an oddball price I'm sure gratuity is included on yours also.
Another thing - you may not be able to "modify" the order once it's in your shopping cart, but you CAN "delete" the order before you actually pull the trigger and pay.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! That's exactly what happened!!! I've debating for months about purchasing the package. I think that I just made my decision tonight. Going to tell my friend who is travelling with us to do the same.
-
A 18% gratuity charge will be added to each package price listed above.
Please note: Orders cannot be modified once they're added to your shopping cart. To change an order, you'll need to first cancel the order, and then make your purchase(s) again.
Well, damn.
-
That's $49 plus 18%, so that includes gratuity.
Well I knew that it had previously, but could not find it in the literature tonight.
I'm going to see what price I'm charged if I try to purchase it tonight.
-
Mine says $57.82 for the Premium.
What I can't find is something saying that that price includes tax and gratuity.
-
Thanks everyone. I'll contact our TA.

Where can I see record of any OBC that we have?
Our kids gave us a RCI gift certificate for Christmas and I just entered all of the info to redeem it for OBC, but cannot figure out where to look for it.
I wanted to take a screen shot of it being redeemed for X amount of dollars, but after entering the info you simply get a screen that says "Thank you for redeeming your Royal Caribbean Gift Certificate."
-
Good news! Are you in a suite or a regular stateroom?
-
That's right, and after you enter the info on Royal's website, the status will usually stay in the pending state until a week or two before the cruise, so don't get discouraged.
Thanks for the heads up Bob.
Just read all of the terms and conditions of the program and it says nothing about how the C&A member that's doing the referring has to have sailed on RCI before. (I'll bet that you see that added before long. It IS kind of odd that you can become a member of a loyalty program if you've never used the product before. But that's RCI's doing, not mine.)
I'm going to give it a try. As I said, I'll let you know how it goes.
-
The $25 is for someone taking their first cruise on Royal, not for signing up for C&A. I'm not sure the $25 OBC promo could be applied to another first time cruiser (you), but since you have a C&A number, try to sign up your friends here:
Ok. Sounds good. Will let you know the outcome when I know. It's just one of those things that they say "Just ask. The worst they can say is 'no.'"
-
If it's her first cruise, you can get $25 OBC:
Sooooo, it's our first cruise and I have already signed up and gotten a C and A number. Our friends are coming with us and are first time cruisers as well. They have not signed up for C and A (at least I don't THINK) so. Do you think that I could get the $25 OBC if I take them to sign up for C and A on our cruise?

Can anyone tell me if there's a more prominent time of the year when the ships cannot stop in Coco Cay?
I'm kind of our trip planner and would like to forewarn my fellow travelers if necessary.
TIA

they make bottle coozies. Mr Spook collects them from all the Margaritavilles( yes he 's a Parrothead)
We have bottle coozies. But they're for 12 oz bottles. Do they have them for the 16 oz bottles?
-
A can coozie helps a bit.
I suppose you're right. Hadn't thought of that. Not too good at thinking outside the box. Can coosie on a bottle. Who'd thunk it? (Not me!)
-
Personally, I don't like the 16 oz aluminum bottles. The beer usually gets too warm before I get to the bottom.
-
But why do you need a chaser with a beer unless it's extremely high gravity? ;)
Good one!

I'm glad DeadPhish responded. At the least the OP got one legit/informative answer. I
Yep! Just trying to figure out if the Select Alcohol Package would be worth it for my husband. He drinks wine and light beers. And Ultras if they're available.
He's a health junkie. Runs, go to the gym, watches what he eats. Food isn't even important to him.
I'd consider ditching him but he's going to get a good retirement. [emoji14]

... on the Freedom?

I've got a 6 - and I'm a girl!
Is your name "Caitlyn?"

I put mine in a protective case and clip it to my belt.
Now THAT sounds uncomfortable! [emoji15]

Mattress - honestly I didn't notice anything, but maybe ours wasn’t switched out yet?
We used Cortrans, they were great. $20 per person.
We were able to book the clamshell before the cruise. :)
Secret Sands is through Royal. This was our first visit to St. Thomas. You will see a lot of the island on the drive, open air bus. The beach is just beautiful. It really looks like paradise. You would probably have some time to shop when you return, we didn't leave port until 7pm. Our excursion was at 12:30 I think...4 hours-ish.
St. Martin was also new to us, but we woke up and just didn't feel like another beach day, so we walked into town. It's a bit of a hike, and it was very hot that day. They have water taxi's and regular taxi's if you don't want to walk. Had a nice day just relaxing with some cocktails.:p I know a lot of people really enjoy the planes though!
Have fun!!!
Thanks for all of the info! Really helpful!

Great review! We're taking our first cruise in 10 weeks and it's the Eastern trip on the FOS. Getting excited.
A couple of questions -
How was your mattress? Much talk recently of overly firm mattresses.
Who did you use to transfer to MCO? And how much was it? We are renting a car to get to PC before the cruise, but since we intend to use Luggage Valet are considering just using a transfer service. Our flight isn't until 2 pm and we don't want to rush off of the ship.
Thanks for the tip on the clamshell loungers in Coco Cay. Can you book these before the cruise?
Is the Secret Sands excursion through RCI or a private company? Had you ever been to St Thomas before? Would this be good for a complete island newbie? As in - will we see any of the island? Any opportunity to shop?
St. Martin - had you ever been there before? Did you have any interest in seeing the planes land over Maho Beach? We're thinking that we'd really like to see that.
TIA for your answers!

Hi All!
Working on our cruise documentation (Yeah!) and am trying to figure out the best credit card for us to use on our trip.
If we will not be in need of currency conversion I'll use one card, but if we will need currency conversion, I'll use another.
TIA!
