Quiet at night is my only criterion. That's why we book midship balconies with cabins above and below and will never bid on an upgrade. I couldn't appreciate a suite if it meant listening to ugly music or deck chairs scraping at quiet moments.
Exactly!

And twenty posts insulting people who didn't get travel insurance. ;p
And it will the same old tired cast of cruise critic blowhards firing the insults. You can almost predict their screen names.

Any chilled soup...blech!

Here's my routine:
1. Lay in the lounger
2. Drink beer
3. Get hot
4. Walk to pool
5. Jump in the pool.
6. Get out of pool
7. Walk back to lounger
8. Repeat steps 1 thru 7

Not sure why they didn't post on the HAL board, if they are sailing on HAL, or read the many threads there on the topic.
Note sure why you had to post to add nothing of value other than to act like a jerk.
No tie required. I haven't packed a tie for a cruise in the last 12 years.

Jim Badger was on the Dawn in February 2018. We really enjoyed his shows.
-
Noise is definitely an issue. That's why I only book cabins on decks that are sandwiched between other decks that are exclusively cabins.

Somewhat academic in what is supposed to be a fun activity but your attitude, as already noted in this thread, and on several other threads prompts correction and your promotion to my ignore list.
I put this poster on my ignore list months ago and it greatly enhanced my cruise critic message board experience.
I highly recommend it.

Although I am no fan of the maniac ;p , he/she is right on this one. I see this happen ALL THE TIME!
On my ignore list for months now. It has greatly enhanced my cruise critic forum experience. I highly recommend it.

We just booked a last minute cruise a couple of days ago. We will be sailing in about two weeks and after the cruise we plan to stay in Florida for 4 nts.
Our plan is to rent a car and drive down to Key West. We will be traveling with a baby and this makes us not willing to drive too long on each day. The plan is to drive to Key Largo, spend one night there and then drive down to Key West. Spend one night in Key West and then one night in Key Largo before we spend the last night in Miami.
We are not big city people and would pick a beach day instead of a day in a big city.
How does the plan sound? Would you do anything different and if so, why?
Marathon is a nice area. I've spent several weeks there. It is about a 2 hour drive from Miami. Lots of great places for seafood and a couple of beaches as well (Sombrero Beach and Bahia Honda).
Key West is a just 80-90 minutes from Marathon.

Just scroll by and your problem is solved. It's not that hard....give it a try.

Nothing is hidden, just do your research.

The Rebel Yell catamaran excursion to White Bay on Jost Van Dyke is Fabulous! The White Bay beach is beautiful and the Soggy Dollar Bar is famous for its Painkilles.
This is the winner. Jost Van Dyke is the best beach I have ever visited.

NCL strikes again.......they just cancelled ANOTHER 10-day Caribbean cruise!
Let's hear you NCL lackeys & cheerleaders give a positive spin to this 2nd cancellation within a month.
They will be out in full force...count on it.
Pure greed on NCL's part...pure greed.
-
There is an entire thread on the cancellation you are referring to,but that isn't what the OP was asking about. It is a totally different situation.
It may not have been canceled due to low bookings, but it was cancelled due to GREED. Plain and simple GREED.
-
Yes - absolutely no music on balconies except with headphones.
OP didn't mention a word about balcony.
Get off my lawn!

Sorry unable to comment, watching England v Sweden ? What time do the US play ??
They could play the World Cup in my backyard and I wouldn't get off the couch and peek through the blinds to watch it.

I am wondering if the room steward is the same person that looks after your room morning and night or is there a morning steward and night steward for regular balcony cabins? we usually tip at the end with the automatic tipping amount that is added to your room but this time I want to tip as I go. Since we've never done this, what is the tipping rate for stewards, I have no idea. I understand it's what ever I want but would like some feed back on people who tip as they go. Thanks!
How can you possible "tip as you go" everyone that helps you? Don't be a cheapskate, just leave the DSC in place.
-
As much as I usually defend NCL, in this case the whole thing does suck. I am still trying to understand why they are doing this. I can't seem to justify it and usually I do see the other side of the story.
Why are they doing it? GREED

Drink beer or wine with your permission. Gamble in the casino. Flirt with women.
He’s 19 and on vacation!

We did a shot glass exchange last November on our Escape cruise. Much simpler than a gift exchange.
Talk Dawn-y to me!
in Norwegian Cruise Line
Posted
We sailed the Dawn this past February and here are a few can't misses:
Soul Rockin' Nights
–We absolutely loved this show. It featured a wide range of rock artists including many Motown songs as well as the British Invasion with 3 songs from The Who. The show opens and closes with Eddie Money’s “Rock and Roll the Place”. There also were songs from Queen, Kiss and more. It was not your typical cruise line production show as they really let the Dawn Show band jam. Probably the best production show I've seen on a cruise ship. Shows were at 7 PM and 9 PM.
Dawn Dance Battle
– This is a takeoff on "Dancing with the Stars"type show featuring ship dancers and passengers. It was a lot of fun. I laughed so hard my face hurt. It is in the Bliss Lounge.
Favorite bar was Gatsby's
