In Cartagena, we took a Segway tour with Segway Cartagena through the old part of the city. Had a great time! Cesar took very good care of us and was a great guide.

Is there a must do on Panama Cruise? We are doing Bonaire, Cartagena, Panama Canal, Colon and Puerto Limon, Costa Rica. I think we're doing a fishing trip in Bonaire.

Thanks for the advice, everyone. We figured it out and will keep it as is. The savings would not be worth the hassle. But I won't book this early again. Although, I booked our Bahamas cruise at same time because it was on 199 for 4 days.

I agree that OP should do the math and put values to perks gained and lost. This is to avoid wasting time for an insignificant gain.

I agree but, maybe I'm having trouble with the math but I saw a savings of over $300pp before the % lost with canceling. I don't drink enough to even pay the gratuity for drinks. We are going to sit down tomorrow and figure it out and see if it's worth the hassle. I know one thing I've learned... I don't think it's worth the double points to book early.

Dilemma. We are booked on NCL for Panama Canal I booked back in February. We paid 937 for 10 day. Now it is down to 599. I called yesterday and they gave me an upgrade from inside cabin to porthole with free drinks (which we already had) and free gratuities. We have the insurance. I think with insurance we get a cruise credit for 75%. Am I figuring wrong or wouldn't I still save money by canceling and rebooking?

Maxterrific did you do the 6 in 1 tour. We aren't going until November but that's the one we're looking at.

Katisdale - This summer we are doing Alaska on our Motorhome. Was thinking of fall or spring 2017. One way or round trip. I found an almost perfect cruise from vancouver, BC on Holland America but that cruise line is super boring on Sea days, was hoping to find something else. Are there cruises that start in USA, like California or even Hawaii that go to Australia and New Zealand? Would like to go when their weather is warm. Wouldn't hurt to hit Fiji too.

We had so much fun on this cruise, we are considering the repositioning the other way, from Boston to new Orleans in October! The entertainment was fantastic but the staff was amazing! My favorite was Nilla who helped with shuffleboard, among all her other duties. My favorite entertainers were Jose and Patti and Harry O'Donahue. Watch for them on your next cruise.

We've done the NCL Pride of America and thoroughly enjoyed it. Very laid back. I think the only real difference is the length of the cruise because once you get to Honolulu on Princess you pretty much hit the same ports as NCL.

I'm confused regarding "discretionary " service charges of $12 per person per day. Seems steep to me but sounds mandatory. Does everyone pay that?

Are there things to do within walking distance of cruise port?

We are going on this repositioning cruise in April. Has anyone been on this? What are your favorite excursions? It hits Aruba, Curacao, St Maarten and St Thomas.
