Don't use the law firms as they take around 30% of recovered sum.
As I stated in my previous entry, small claims is straight forward to do online and you recover all your costs.

Just returned today from my canaries cruise on Thomson Majesty. Fourth time on the ship but I do not know if it is the TUI effect but it seemed more like a booze cruise rather my previous experiences on the ship. Think I will go back to the more refined P&O cruise.
Have cruised in the Caribbean on the Dream and Destiny in the past and were good value for money.

Had a nine hour delay from Tenerife in November last year. Thomson fobbed us off for four months, saying that we were not entitled to anything as it was due to extra ordinary circumstances ( cracked windscreen). European court ruling stated that technical reasons cannot be used by airline. Eventually took them to Small Claims Court and was paid within three weeks. A simple online formality to do.

Sorry, on my above message I was referring to a beach stop, we found this was the best idea after talking to other tourists.

Don't forget to come to an agreement with the taxi driver whereby you pay on the way back. Just arrange a pick up time otherwise you may get left stranded there. You would not be the first.

Have been on many Thomson cruises, we always dress up for formal nights ( three in Caribbean) and have found that we are in the majority. Can't understand why people do not wish to do it. Never get dressed up at home so it's good to see that I can still scrub up well.

Flight delay
in Marella Cruises (formerly Thomson)
Posted
Thomson did not contest my claim having told me three times that I did not have a case.
It's not good for their image, as far as holidays and cruises that we have taken with them, we have never had a problem bar this one flight.
Going back 10 years it was a regular thing to have a three hour delay. EU regulations have been helpful to the travellers, wonder if it will change when we leave the EU.
