  1. Has anyone used Uber to go from POM to Fort Laudrdale hotel? Wondering how they would find us at POM

Once you request an uber, don't move from where you requested it. They will give you a description of the car like make and color. The driver will come to exactly where you requested it. If he can't find you, he will call you.

As you can tell, I love uber and absolutely swear by it. I've never had any major problems with them. And the two problems I did had were after the ride, and resolved quickly.

  2. It did not when I sailed in October but I would say that most likely it will after dry dock if it has not been converted already. There are not many ships left that do not have American Table.

I'll be on her next week so looks like I won't have the American table! Which I am very shop about! Thanks :)

  3. I can tell u almost exactly. This past May we stayed at the W in Fort Lauderdale for the weekend before our cruise and took Uber XL to POM for our family if 4. We were charged $197 and would've used a shuttle if we had known it was going to b that much. The vehicle was very nice, but the guy acted lost even though using gps, running the bill up even higher.

Was there a surge during that time? I've done this route 4 times and never paid more than $30.

  4. Last time in Freeport, we rented a car and drove around the island at our leisure. There are a number of national parks on the island; our favorite is Lucayan National Park (not Lucayan resort). The beaches are so pristine and void of any cruise ship tourists. The underwater caves are really something to be seen.

Do you recall the place you rented a car from? I'm 24 and am finding most places require you to be 25 to rent a car. Thanks for the tips!

  5. My boyfriend and I are headed out for a quick 5 day cruise in two weeks making stops at Freeport and Nassau. None of the carnival excursions seem exciting and they are ridiculously expensive. I'm not opposed to booking through someone else if it was a cheaper excursions. I'm open to pretty much anything like kayaking, snorkeling, fishing, sting rays, or anything like that - but it's gotta be fairly inexpensive. One of the two days I'd like to do an all inclusive beach package. Which place would be better and which beach? I have no problem taking a taxi. Thanks in advance!
