  1. We are traveling with my future MIL (separate reservations/rooms) and her friend in November. They are first time cruisers, and we are Diamond Plus. Will they be able to accompany us through the Diamond Plus line or should we use the general check-in line? She is very hard of hearing and will require my fiance's assistance when checking in.

  2. Asking the masses to see if I may be up the creek. I've yet to call Royal yet as I'm waiting for an FCC to be regenerated, but I've run out of cruises in the next year to apply said FCC's to. I have around $1,100 in credits left to use and I really do not want to lose them. Has anyone had any luck in getting Royal to apply them to a cruise beyond the sail by date? I have a cruise scheduled for June 2023 that would be the perfect candidate. Unfortunately booking another cruise this year, is a bit out of the question as far as my time off from work is concerned. Thanks in advance for your feedback.

  3. Soooooo… Back to the topic at hand... The Rivers in Pittsburgh opened this week and they require masks. I believe you are still able to smoke (don't ask me how that works), but most slot machines have plexiglass between them and the ones that don't are distanced away from others. Table games are limited to three players per table.

Note; when comparing bailouts of banks and automakers to cruise lines remember some did not survive.

    Oldsmobile, Mercury, Saturn etc.

The cruise marketplace will look very different in a few months, that feels inevitable at this point.

Brands like Princess, Celebrity could disappear.

Aren't you just a bundle of joy. Instead of armchair quarterbacking this whole thing, how about we ride it out stop playing into the what could happen. All it is doing is causing people to panic.

  5. Was on Anthem last Thanksgiving for an 8-night. Lots of kids and families, which was to be expected. They did serve a special Thanksgiving meal in the MDR but we opted for Wonderland that night instead. The decorations did not go up the day after, which was extremely disappointing. Overall, I'd do it again in a heartbeat, because you cannot top spending Thanksgiving Day on an island.

While they do make money on it,  it’s not really a huge money maker like the newer ships,  but it does get people in the door and introduces them to cruising.

Highly disagree with this. Baltimore has one of the highest percentages of repeat guests. Travel in the winter months and there are well over 1,200 C&A guests, with usually around 500 Diamonds.
