Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. I was on the Feb. 24th sailing in The Haven (my first time) and felt the same about the Haven Restaurant. Service was so-so, often had to ask for water or a drink more than once. We ventured to Cagney's one night, and it was also underwhelming. Food Republic was excellent! The new spa was incredible! It is a beautiful ship...willing to give it another chance!
  2. I'll be on the February 24th sailing and plan to buy the spa pass if its available! Will report back!!
  3. Thank you for your responses! Someone like myself goes on CC to gather a community of answers, and we all interpret things differently, as you know! In this cruise world (and post Covid travel world!!), information, as we all know changes by the day and I figured posing this question to my fellow cruisers was a place to start....my profile isn't up to date, but I've been cruising since my highschool graduation trip in 2000 and ever since I've tried to be as educated as possible when cruising, especially for the sake of my spouse and his family and mine! I've worked in the corporate world and know that sometimes you will call a customer service line/or employee line for assistance and get 10 different answers based on who you speak with...and their experience, and what they know, and how they interpret their training and understanding of policies and procedures. A company like NCL has no many nuances to what they sell and how they sell it, their policies, their promos...always changing...we all know how this goes! I appreciate this community so much and their willingness to bring so many different interpretations and experiences to the table.
  4. Really appreciate you all and your input here....and not trying to wreak havoc on any immigration procedures, we can certainly just return to Seattle. The cruise we are taking is in 2023 so looking at options SUPER early πŸ˜‰
  5. Thanks for the replies! Historically (2019 and 2020) we booked both cruises with two CruiseNext credits ($250/pp- balcony room on both cruises)- I thought that was how the CruiseNext worked? Perhaps not and they only offer this from time to time?
  6. Note that my cruise consultant wasn't 100% and said she would look into it more- she seems new, and I know NCL policies change all the time, so figured I'd ask the community for their experience ☺️
  7. Many thanks to you all for this valuable info! My cruise consultant wasn't 100% so I figured I would ask our community for their experience!
  8. My father passed in November and had four CruiseNext credits remaining under his name. My cruise consultant is telling me that we can't transfer them to my mother, his wife- even though I sent in his death certificate. Anyone have any experience with a situation like this? Have you been able to transfer those certificates to a spouse following a death? Many thanks, Sarah
  9. Hello! I received a call today from my cruise consultant offering my husband and I a deal that would double our CruiseNext certs for an upcoming cruise. We each have a $250/pp CruiseNext to use when booking our next cruise - and then she said it would $500 per person...she said it was offered for an extremely limited amount of time. Did anyone else get a call like this today?
  10. Hello Friends! Has anyone every done an early disembarkment at one of the ports? My husband and I are looking to disembark on an Alaskan cruise in 2023 and get off the ship on the last day in Victoria, BC instead of getting off the ship the next day in Seattle. My cruise consultant is saying that if we did that we could possibly be fined under the "Jones Act"? Anyone know anything about this? Thanks so much for any guidance here! Best, Sarah
