I think it was 7:30 and 9:30 most nights. I can check dailies tomorrow and post it.  Most were 45 min. So you could eat after early show.   Footloose is longer though.  I think the late might have been ten??  But I’ll check the dailies

Thank you so much!! I'm dragging my husband to these shows so I have to dangle cocktails and dinner in front of him!

I was just in that cabin last week.  I have a video tour posted on my blog...alpacamybagsblog  dot com

It is very spacious.  Great balcony we had a lounge chair added to!

Not trying to highjack this thread but I’ve been following your blog. If you would be so kind as to answer a quick question I would be most appreciative. My husband and I are both in the service industry and we are most comfortable dining later in the evening around 8 to 9. But I want to see the shows and I’m realizing now this might present a problem. I’ll have to force him to eat earlier a couple of nights but I had all the days/times of the shows wrong. Could you tell me when The day and times of Footloose/Beatles and Elements are? I made my ressies based on bad information and now I need to change everything. Thanks in advance if you can help!!

We are booked with Blexie -- our tour guide will be Jorge -- for our October cruise.  I just heard from him and everything is fine, still going strong and sent us the new location map.

Our tour was customized from start to finish and will probably last about 7 hours.  Blexie arranged to take us to all the stops that were important for us to see and we will probably have lunch on the go.  I'm excited to see Havana.  We have ship excursions booked (our three free ones) for the Tropicana, the Art of Cuba Walking Tour and the Evening Tour of Colonial Havana.  While we will be exhausted with four excursions in two days, I am happy knowing we'll have covered everything most important to my husband by the time we depart.

Now fingers crossed that the Cuban Government doesn't ask our ship to leave a day early in any of our ports to accommodate a larger ship (which apparently happened to Oceania in March) 🙄

You will absolutely LOVE Jorge. Fluent English. Funny funny guy. Loves his Country and willing to share fascinating information about living in Cuba. Jorge and The Hamster (driver) made our day in Cuba a fabulous memory I will cherish forever. Heads up - Blexie just reached out and said unscrupulous rival tour groups are stealing his clients. He will give you a code only Jorge will know. Tell Jorge the Phillies fans from Jersey with the teenagers say hi!!

  5. Heads up folks!! Blexie just reached out and unscrupulous rival tour companies are stealing his clients!! They are pretending to be Blexie Tours when they greet groups waiting across from the terminal. Don't be fooled!! You really really want Blexie. He is honest and more importantly his tours are FUN. From now on when you book with Blexie he will give you a code that only his driver knows. I'm telling you folks. Wait for the "real" Blexie Tours - you won't regret it!!!

If you remember can you report back about the hotel and area please?  We have a reservation there for mid February-never tried that hotel before.  Thanks!

Will do. Called a couple of weeks ago and told the reservation agent I was a little concerned about some of the reviews here on TA. I've been on TA since the beginning and I take the reviews with a grain of salt. Plus, I live in a beach resort town and understand the toll heat and humidity can do to a room. Anyway, they have been incredibly accommodating. Texting me to wish me safe travels and just being great. Ill let u know how it works out. 😀

  7. DH and I both work in the service industry. We are big tippers and would never screw a server, steward or bartender. That said, we prepaid tips on  a Disney cruise then  handed our steward $75 at check in and told him we would hit him up again at departure. U guessed it - never saw him again and our cabin was not really serviced well. I'm hesitant to go hard early or even pay gratuities up front after that experience. Who gets the prepaid gratuities? Does my steward even see that money? Any insight into the "cut" would be greatly appreciated. I want to tip the folks who make my vacation special the most - over and above what they might get from Norwegian.

  8. Did our online check in for upcoming cruise. Got 11:30 - 12 arrival time. SAS picking us up at Hilton Fort Lauderdale 9:30. I am Latitudes member. Will we have to wait to board? Thanks in advance for any replies.

  9. Hilton Marina is a great hotel. Plan on using water taxi all day. I would do the Hollywood route first, southern route. It takes 1 hour to get to Hollywood from Hilton Marina, and an hour to get back. You change boats at stop number 4 which is Hilton Marina. When you come back from Hollywood the northern route takes 2 hours from stop number 4 to make a complete loop all the way around and back. You can get on or off at any stop and its about 40-45 min for another boat to come by. You do not need to buy tickets in advance. You can purchase them once you get on any boat with credit card.

just wondering which routes will take us past the most mansions and yachts. Looking to gawk at the rich and famous lol.

  10. We live in a coastal resort town so very familiar with parasailing. Never did it though. My DD15 has been begging to do it all summer. Love this kid. Someone told me they did it in our town and it was kind of boring since the Atlantic coast does not have clear water. She raved about doing it in Key West because she could see the fish and turtles. Anyone have any experience in GSC? Looks like cost around here would be $140 for both of us and at GSC it would be $210. I'm willing to take the $70 hit if it is worth it - so really looking for any feedback from anyone who has done it. TIA for any replies.

  11. Booked on Sky November 5. Always been on the bucket list to see Cuba. Did my Senior College thesis on the historical basis for the rise of Castro. Nerd alert and more importantly, what the heck was I thinking?? Any replies greatly appreciated.

    1. Travelling with the hubs and my 2 teens. 18 yo high school senior and 15 yo daughter. Are my kids going to be the only ones on this boat? Not a biggie but my daughter might want to mingle.

    2. Staying in Fort Lauderdale for one night pre cruise. 17th St. causeway area. Wanted my guys to see Lauderdale from a water taxi. SAS for shuttle to POM the next day. Any suggestions for dinner on water taxi route? Not a fan of chain restaurants.

    3. Doing a tour with Blexie. Not sure about exchanging money. If I exchange $400 and don't spend it all will I be able to exchange it back into US? If I do that will I lose money in the exchange rate 2x? First trip to a country that doesn't take US so sorry if I sound like an idiot lol.

    4. Flight out of FLL at 2:15. What is the latest we can disembark?

Very excited. Both kids are close to fluent so this should be a great time for them.

  12. So...just doing a 4 day to Cuba. The hubs, myself and our 2 teens. Since the Sky is older no balcony rooms can accommodate us. Got the "bid" offer for a suite but it looks like they make you start with their minimum. Not willing to pay $800 to upgrade to suite. Is there any way to offer a lower bid online?

  13. Disney nut here. Definitely stay on property. Art of Animation Value Resort is a real winner. Your DD will LOVE the theming. Heck my DD15 and DS17 love it. Great food court and pool bar. Magical Express is just that...Magical. Little Mermaid rooms are cheap.

If you want to step it up I recommend Wilderness Lodge. Spectacular property. Easy access to MK by fun boat ride. Definitely make MK appointment at Bippidy Boppidy Boo salon in MK. For $45 your baby will have the experience of a lifetime. I know all the tricks on how to save money at WDW. Feel free to PM me if u want to know more. Have fun. It really is The Happiest Place on Earth but you need a plan to make it work. 😂💝
