  1. Um, credit card companies outsource their travel coverage. May be same company you are now also buying from.

Here's link that compares coverage offered by Chase for one of their cards.

No medical coverage. Given that medical coverage is what we have needed to use trip insurance for in the past, that would not work for me. I looked and the trip insurance benefit through my credit card is pretty limited.

  2. Personally, I will wear either a gown or dressy cocktail dress. But I also tend to dress up more than necessary on casual nights just because I enjoy it. My concern tends to be staying at the same level of formality as the people I'm cruising with so I'm not bothered if others choose to dress more casually.

  3. Personally, for my upcoming cruise, it's not worth it. FTTF is 100.00 per cabin. It's an 8 day partial transit Panama Canal cruise with 4 sea days.

We're going to get plenty of ship time so I don't need to board super early.

There are only 2 ports. One is a tender port and we don't have any specific plans so we don't priority tendering.

Guest services is open 24/7 and I don't need to go there often anyway. I can find a time without a line.

If I'm boarding later anyway, I don't early cabin access.

I'm packing everything that i need through dinner in my carry-on suitcase. So priority luggage isn't necessary for me.

These may not be the case for you. With a shorter, more port-intensive cruise, it would be worth it more for me.

  4. Question 1

We are in a grand suite and will have 4 people in the room so will be using the sofa bed. Do the stewards return the sofa bed back into a sofa every day or leave it set up as a bed the entire time? I would really like to have it put away each day, so we have more space. If this is not the common practice, would it be asking too much for them to do this? (Would tip extra).

    Question 2

We also have a FTTF pass because I like to be able to put luggage down. On shore days does that give you priority getting off the ship? I think I read it gives you priority tendering but wondered if that applied to leaving the ship on port days. We have an early excursion scheduled at one port and was wondering if there was some kind of priority exit available for FTTF?

    Question 3

At Mr.Sanchos all-inclusive, do you tip the server every time they bring you something or one time at the end? Do you get better service if you tip each time?

    Thanks!

When we used the couch as a bed, they just left it as a bed during the day. Personally, the only thing we use the couch for is as a catch all for shoes, purses, shawls, bags, etc... so that's fine with me. All they do is take the back cushions off and add sheets, pillows, comforter. So you don't actually gain any space by having it made back into a couch.

FTTF gives you priority in tender ports only. It doesn't give you priority in docked ports nor does it give you priority on tenders from port back to the ship.

  5. I normally take pictures with the different back drops every night. I just sort through them for the few that I want to buy. I bought pixels max. If a picture is bad, I'm not going to waste resources to have it scanned. However, I do intend to use the package.

Carnival should have realized that these packages would be popular.

  6. Stupid question of the day;):

How do you hang things in the bathroom while showering? I've only noticed the small rope inside the shower and the curtain has been attached to the ceiling (not on a rod). I'm guessing the hook on the door, hanging one item only? We usually keep the bathroom door open when showering (just hubby and I in the cabin) so it doesn't get too steamy.

    Thanks!

Hang it on the back of the door. I let it get nice and steamy in there and it does the trick.
