  1. So this policy had me quite mad as it is very interesting they implement a room service charge and then they make a policy you can not take food back to your room from the buffet. Allegedly.

     

    So, I decided to call casino reservations as that is who i normally use. I asked the following question. I just read on cruise critic that NCL has a new policy that no food from the buffet is aloud to be taken back to the room. Is that true? She said hold and let me check. She came back and said that it was partially correct. She said that NO HOT FOOD would be aloud to be taken out of the dining venue but snacks such as fruits etc would.

     

    I express my displeasure especially with the new room service charge. She said she was sorry to hear that and was there anything else she could help me with.

  2. We did receive a letter that told us about the pre concierge and how to contact them. I found them to be very helpful and friendly. However, when we arrived on the ship NOTHING we had requested via the pre concierge was done. We did not request much but nothing was addressed. All I did was review with the butler when he arrived and by the end of the day it was all done.

  3. This is such false advertising. You read the post by NCL on facebook and they list it as all inclusive. That is absolutely not true. Not all restaurants are included and all they added was the UBP and that limits the drinks you can get. You still have to pay extra for a lot of items. Anyone that think this is a great idea is sorely mistaken.

  4. We stayed in a penthouse suite on deck 15 in the haven. We could fit a lounger and a regular chair comfortably on our balcony. We loved the location it was quiet but being in the Haven complex was great for the close location of the restaurant and the sun deck. It is a long walk from the aft to the haven. And I did hear about the noise complaint at night from the parties in H2O.

  5. I do disagree with the poster that said they would never do the cruise again. I thought it was great. We rented a car for 2 days in Maui and 2 days in Kauai. We got to do a ton of things. We did a the road to Hana and drove to the top of the Volcano and did a Luau and drove to Lahaina. We definitely had enough time to see it all but would have loved more time. We also drove all around Kauai.

  6. I don't want this to come off as rude but I don't quite see in your mini review what was so bad that made you swear off NCL. I saw the MDR issue but did you try other food venues. I am curious as to what was so bad as I will be on the Dawn in May. I know that all the changes with fee etc and the way they are being implemented are a huge turn off but what was it specifically about the Dawn that pushed you over the edge. Thank you.

  7. Kind of snippy this morning, aren't you? To say a poster is "wrong" is wrong. Others have posters say they've gotten reminders, and so have I. Maybe you didn't get one, but it doesn't mean we are "incorrect".

  8. Well, I didn't intend or expect this reaction. I was stating that the poster was incorrect for saying that I didn't check my email. I found the poster to be a bit rude. I have my mail synced to my phone and I check it routinely. I did find it odd that the only email reminder came mid day on the day the deposit was due.

     

    I want to thank those that came to my defense. I find that on message boards like this that it is so easy to attack people and make statements regarding people and their behavior since it is all anonymous.

     

    I appreciate the wealth of knowledge on this board and that is why I asked my question.

  9. Sorry OP, but it looks like you do not check your emails so often. NCL usually send the Payment Reminder emails 5 days before the payments are due.

     

    Actually I do check my mail often I have an Iphone. I checked back 2 weeks and no email. So you are incorrect. I was looking at a bad website and CS is open until 9 so I got through after being on hold for 35 minutes. Which to me is unacceptable. If I was trying to book a new cruise I would have hung up.

  10. So I realized today after getting an email at 4:55 pm that my final payment was due today. Since I booked through CAS, I couldn't make the payment online and CAS is closed on the weekends and the NCL number closed at 5 pm. What will happen? I assume the reservation will not cancel on me and I can call tomorrow and make the payment. Is this correct?
