  1. We are cruise on the Paradise next year after dry dock. I'd love to hear what people think (positive/negative) about the Junior Suites on Deck 11 (Verandah) as my wife loves a balcony and that is what we booked.

Our last cruise was a balcony room on deck 7 (Empress) on the Sensation.

  2. 4 day cruises are just a tease. By the time you learn the ship you are disembarking. 2 day, 3 day, and 4 day cruises consist of a majority of first time cruisers.

Luckily most fantasy class ships have a similar layout, so we enjoy doing a number of 4 and 5 day cruise on them.

  3. I definitely agree she is more updated than Elation or Paradise. I was disappointed to learn that Paradise had not yet been given 2.0 upgrades. I'm feeling a little apprehensive about sailing on Paradise, she does not generally receive a lot of positive reviews, at least on these forums. If I had a choice I would have definitely sailed Fantasy over Paradise. Hopefully, Carnival keeps her in their fleet a few more years!

Paradise is schedule for a five-week long dry-dock in Feb/Mar 2018. We sail on her 10 days after she gets out of dry-dock. She will be getting the 2.0 upgrades include Guys as per John Heald.

  4. My wife and I sent a message to John Heald (Carnival Brand Ambassador) on his facebook page one week beforehand and he arranged a table for two for us as requested.

It was nice as he replied to the message and said he would do it for us, so it was nice knowing this was taken care of in advance.

Just submit you request at the top the feed were it says "Write Someone on this page'. Make sure you like his page!

    Cheers!

  5. Thanks for your update. Did you email them the first day of sail and make your request or beforehand ? I am traveling with 3 small children and would love to be seated alone so we don't disturb anyone else's meal.

  6. > Most night hats jogging shorts and wife beaters were present in the dining room I get it its vacation

I don't care; I will never be OK with this. I know it's "just a cruise" and "just Carnival" but let's attempt to be adults enough to take off the ball caps and manage a shirt that both covers the shoulders and does not advertise a beer brand. I don't even mind the shorts because their sorry legs are going to be under the table in any case. I wear tank tops almost all day while on board and it takes me one minute to head to the cabin and put on a collared shirt for dinner. It's just manners.

Sorry, I can't even resist ranting on this topic. Drives me mad when people treat everywhere like it's a hot dog stand.

One fellow on our cruise had Nike shorts, NASCAR t-shirt and flip flops at dinner on formal night. Needless to say he did 'stand out'.

  7. Ports.

Half Moon Cay. Tender operation smooth. We had cabana #9 water was great service good. We were in the water talking to others when we noticed the VILLA next to our cabana was still vacant this is when we watched the looting ,stealing ,robbery ,dishonest people have a field day. First person walks in comes running out with all the bottles of water to her group. Over the next 10 minutes same group of men and women go and help them selfs to all the snorkelers equipment, floats, rafts and towels. Large group of people many in the water witnessed this. Later when the family arrived 2ho rented it the staff had to scramble to replenish all the stuff. Did see one man point out the people who took the items. Smh at this

Sadly this type of thing happens. My wife and I rented Cabana #10 on HMC and after coming back from being in the water we found two our the four water floats missing ( we had two of them in the water ) and the two that were missing some jerk and his wife decided they'd take them and lay on them under the hammock they also claimed beside the Cabana.

I had a talk with the gentleman and informed him that those floats belong to the Cabana and that you can't just take stuff that doesn't belong to you. He got kind snippy back to me and I basically told him to put them back or I would have HMC staff put them back for him and report him.

If people of this world simply respected other people's property and followed the rules, it would be a better place.
