since the hotels downtown are so expensive I'm thinking of staying at the airport and using the light rail to go downtown to do some sightseeing during the day. Then going on Alaska Cruise out of Seattle

Any thoughts?

Yes it is posted online but it doesn't start till tomorow. Person at Princess said the price of the cruises could also change.

Going on Celebrity Summit in August 2017. I am a big list maker prior to any trip. Just wondering if you have any tips on things you wish you brought or things that just took up too much space in luggage!! So far I'm thinking of a nice fold up tote and water bottle for the beach!!

We are looking for a hotel 1 night precruise in Seattle. So expensive downtown - do you think it might be worth staying near the airport and then taking an uber downtown since we will only be there one day?

Just feel $300 is a lot for one night. Going June 2018

We did a Mediterranean cruise this past December. 12th thru the 19th. The weather was absolutely beautiful. Never wore my winter jacket. Just a light weight jacket. My friend has a home in Rome and she warned me about the summer heat and that a lot of places either don't have air or the air is not great. I am not a fan of the heat.

And she also warned me about the crowds in the summer. There were still crowds at the touristy sites but not as bad as summer. Plus the cruise and airfare were cheaper in December. What a great trip. I want to go back. Enjoy!!!

You are correct. I didn't look closely enough. My cruise is June 9, 2018 - $2199 for balcony - seattle including Glacier Bay National park - theirs is $1999 - same date - Seattle including Glacier Bay national Park.

i have a cruise booked for Alaska inside passage June 2018 on Princess. Now I see HAL is almost 1,000 cheaper!! Why such a difference in price?

I am hoping for a price drop on my Princess cruise to Alaska June 2018. Or even some perks!!

Since you are from Seattle can you recommend a reasonably priced hotel. Our cruise is June 9, 2018.

Not sure if it is better to just stay downtown for 1 night or stay at the airport, If we stay by the airport and want to visit downtown, would tge cost of taxi/Uber be pricey??
