  1. I don't pretend to know how the results are reached, I don't know if they are biased, accurate or inaccurate, but I do know I am ashamed of some of the comments I have read on this thread. Many from people whose opinions I normally respect. Which starts me wondering, are they in some way .... influenced? Just asking. And just joking.

Joking? I think not. Some of these people should get off their high horses and respect those with whom we disagree............... just like politics

  2. Thanks for your comments. We have been through the Canal, but not up to Charleston, etc. We were scheduled to be on Regatta for that trip, but had to cancel at the last minute. I was particularly interested in Charleston, NYC, and the specific cruise: Cruise Director, Captain, entertainment, etc. Thanks again.

  3. Just got off Insignia in Montreal; first leg of RTW. Not the usual O crowd. Lots of affected people. After 2 weeks the food was boring, enrichment almost does not exist.

  4. One wonders why some people are so defensive of Oceania. They lay the entire blame on the cruisers who find Oceania to be lacking in some areas. Reasons they give - the cruisers 'should have known'; and, Oceania's way IS their loyal Oceania cruisers' way. So they say: if one finds anything not to one's liking, blame oneself. Do not say anything negative about their favorite cruiseline.

You certainly are entitled to your opinions. You think everyone should be able to make a perfect decision whether to cruise with a cruiseline or not, based on what one reads on the message boards. Fine. I am relating my first hand experience on Oceania's first 'world cruise', so people who wish to cruise the world with Oceania might have something to consider. Is that so horrible that the same subject matter is raised again - actually, this is NOT the same, because this is about Oceania's first world cruise. Has anyone related his/her Oceania world cruise experience prior to Oceania's first world cruise? Back to back cruises are not world cruise.

I agree. Not only are they defensive, they are arrogant. Oceania is just another business. Not unlike Carnival, Safeway, or Whole Foods, they are just targeting a market segment to show a profit. One is not better than another, it is just different. One who cruises Carnival just likes things a bit different. They are not inferior. Get Over It.

  5. Will the largest ships fit the new Panama... Only the DCL Wonder is able to fit today's Panama.

Some ports may have limited bridge clearances for the biggest ships to fit... Vancouver's Lions Gate are a challenge for some.

Yes, expansion should be open next year
