  1. Last year we finally decided to try cruising again since COVID and booked Alaska next week. Since last year our PCC retired so we ended up with another PCC. We called last week to book a December cruise and found out our new PCC has now retired. We were assigned a new consultant but instead of calling us back about booking the December cruise she emailed us saying that we must be excited about our upcoming cruise. No mention about the December cruise we wanted to book. We would love to use a travel agent again but soon as you give them the booking you no longer can talk to HAL directly.

  2. We don't understand how HAL can offer you a price for a cruise and say that the Explorer 4 package is included? If you aren't a drinker you can get a cheaper price for the cruise. No deal here as you are paying for your Explorer 4 package. Only going on the next cruise to see if HAL has smartened up. Booked a February 2018 cruise on the Koningsdam when we were aboard a Feb 2017 cruise aboard the Rotterdam. 2 months later HAL told us that itinerary was cancelled. Found out that HAL found it more profitable to let someone charter the ship for 7 days and basically kick us off the ship. We had booked a 21 day cruise so don't understand how HAL found it more profitable to change itinerary to three 7 day cruises. We skipped doing a cruise this year because of being treated so badly by HAL. DW retires in 12 months and if HAL messes up our next cruise then we will look at doing other things in our retirement.

  3. My DW and I are booked on the Koningsdam Feb 14/2018 to Mar 7/2018 for an 11 and then a 10 day cruise. We have 5 other friends booked on all or part of these cruises but I have been checking all the postings here and it seems that our ship has already been reconfigured from a 11 & 10 day cruises to 3 seven day cruises.

According to CJcruzer who has a list of charters on HAL the Koningsdam has a charterfrom Feb 4 to 11/2018

also according cruise critic member Kazu the Koningsdam from Feb 11 to 18 is doing an RSVP Charter Eastern Caribbean.

Is HAl letting people book cruises knowing that they already have these ships booked for charters? Isn't that false advertising?
