  1. Considering do a private tour on our stop in Nassau.  Been once and went to Atlantis.  I am wondering if there is anywhere outside cruise excursions that would be better.

Best Beach?  Looking for less crowded areas, with pretty scenery, chairs.  Cost for beach access?

Suggestions on best places for snorkeling?  Prices?

Thanks in advance on where to go or NOT to go 🙂

  2. I've had this issue for about a year now.  I recently got a new cell phone, so thought I would try it again, but still no luck.  I have an iphone.   I have deleted the app and pulled it back down from the cloud and try to sign in with the same user name/pw as I do on the website from PC.  PC works and app says wrong password.   I have tried to change the password and have the same issue.  Anyone else having this issue?  Know how to fix it?

  3. Go for the Havana room! I wish I had one when I went on my cruise on the Vista in April. I didn’t think it was worth the price difference of say the Freedom without a Havana room. But idk what ur price dif was but mine was about $300 a person. It isn’t a bad ship you will enjoy your cruise. Try Blue Iguana tacos at lunch, free and very tasty! They don’t post it but you can request steak on them from burrito side [emoji6] I agree on the specialty Italian dinner was well worth the$15 a person (before tip).

  4. If you are doing a Havana room, Vista. Although my last was on the Vista it cost a good deal more than the Freedom would have. I loved the Freedom both times I’ve sailed her...my next one will likely be the Freedom again unless costs are close AND get a Havana room. Hope you enjoy your cruise.

  5. This last April we had a large group cruising which included my best friend and her healthy 21-year-old daughter. Her due date was the after the middle of June so she planned on going even after she found out she was pregnant thinking we would be months away from her delivering. She ended up having preeclampsia that came upon fast and her blood pressure rose dangerously high within days and she had her beautiful baby girl at 27 weeks which was about a month before we left (she ended up not going with preemie in intensive care). Prior to this I would’ve thought no problem, but after this I think I would be hesitant to encourage anyone to cruise in the second half of pregnancy. If that it happened on the cruiseship her daughter likely wouldn’t have made it.

  6. I was there this past April. I got in a little bit of a debate with a local trying to charge me for one of the free loungers I just told him no and he keep arguing with me and my daughter was uncomfortable bc I wasn’t having it and he kept on and on so we just left and walked on down the beach. But that was good thing bc Jacks’s Shack the water is better, less people, and don’t forget the cute dog!

The walk is not long or strenuous and I’m no athlete and thought the stroll there was easy.

  7. These threads always turn into how much porters make. I don't think that should matter. I tip them for the service the provide me.

I’ve done $5 a bag typically. But after reading this that sounds steep if they are pulling in 6 figures. How much they make does make difference to me. Tipping is typically to supplement a low wage salary. I don’t tip everywhere I go which would be necessary if use the premise of I am getting a service. Every job provides some type of service and not every job is expecting tips. To me the difference is the wage.

  8. I don’t see how a medical emergency delay is Carnival or Spirit’s fault. They have no control over that. This could happen on any cruise on any line or any airline potentially. Either allow for a day before and the day after the cruise for unexpected delays or if you purchase your flight through Carnival any delays they get you on another flight and you’re not out money.

  9. I don't think the aft pool is adults only anymore. I could be wrong. :(:(

It was in 2015 and 2017 when I was on that ship. I know they did change it for a while to be all inclusive but I heard they changed it back. Who knows though could’ve changed again since then... I hope not though because that is a definite perk to not have kids canon balling and splashing all around you.

Come back after and let us know [emoji16]

  10. Or maybe people don’t have ten children where the older kids watched the younger ones.

Being a careful, attentive parent doesn’t make one a helicopter parent. Not leaving a barely 7 year old alone period is good parenting in my opinion. Responsibility can be taught without doing that at 7, age appropriate responsibility....fending for yourself at 7 seems extreme to me. I believe 12 is common minimum age requirement in states to be home alone.

  11. Is it chicken breast do you know?

I think the MDR sounds better than the buffet for breakfast. I have seen a few photos of the buffet when its crowded; yikes!

I have to agree. On my last cruise a few weeks ago we ate breakfast or brunch depending on port or sea day in the MDR almost every day. A lot of people don’t realize that it’s even an option and free when they first cruise.

By the way on your question for the 24/7 soft serve. They have frozen yogurt and soft serve ice cream chocolate, vanilla, twist, and sometimes they alternate the vanilla with strawberry.

I’m not sure which ships do this but on the Vista they had homemade ice cream for free in the afternoon on the Lido deck. More specialty flavors vary by day.

  12. Carnival will be offering either a full refund of the cruise fare OR if you board on Sunday a pro-rated refund of 2 days plus $200 shipboard credit. ...Plus complimentary daily round trip shuttle service to Busch Gardens, Ybor City, Clearwater Beach or the Tampa Premium Outlet Mall.

Pre-purchased Carnival shore excursions, as well as taxes, fees and port expenses for Mahogany Bay and Belize will be refunded to the onboard expense account.

They will also be offering a complimentary Carnival LIVE performance in the Main Theater on Monday by Country Western singer Tim Rushlow.

Note to all those who's posts run along the lines of: "We live in Florida and can cruise at a moment's notice if any good deals come along" .... This is one to check out come tomorrow or Monday.

I would be happy with that but I don’t live in Florida so free shuttles would be appealing plus I usually don’t get off the boat in Belize anyway.
