I don't mean to hijack the thread at all, but can anyone tell me if I can use a ship phone to call an iconcierge app?

Can anyone tell me how long it takes to climb Dunns river falls? We are taking a ship sourced river tubing excursion (ncl getaway at ocho rios) then we hoped to find our own way to Dunns river and walk the falls as well as fit in some lunch somewhere. Just need to work out if we have enough time!

1. Yes
2. Yes
3. There are extra food options (more snack/tapas style platters) available for Cabanas that have an extra fee. You can also order bottle service etc. Not everyone visiting GSC has UBP, you know. ;)
They all get free drinks on the Sky now ;-)

I use GoPro cameras and my iPhone 6 when on vacation. I make films and take photos with both.

Thinking abt the catamaran shipwreck excursion in St Thomas on gem. Can anyone who has taken this give your opinion..? It only has 1.5 hrs snorkling, with 30 min catamaran each way...sounds great, turtles, shipwreck etc,,, curious for opinions thx!
We LOVED the catamaran shipwreck snorkel on 'castaway girl' great snorkelling and fun crew. We had two snorkelling stops; the shipwreck site and also turtle cove as we all asked the captain when we were onboard to split our time which he obliged. They also serve the best rum punch for the trip home!

We are from the UK and have purchased our flights for around $600 cheaper per person than the price quoted by NCL. We fly from Heathrow to Miami a day before the cruise and fly home 4 days after the cruise. The costs saved on flights gave us 5 extra days vacation, hotels and a hire car and still we are saving money! Our flights are with Virgin Atlantic.
In my opinion, you should research both options and see which works out cheaper or better for you. You also might want to consider a few days land based before cruise to get over any jet lag.

Join the march 13th getaway roll call page wizdiz and chat with fellow cruisers on that sailing!

As many others have said; if you can take to the Internet to vocalise your distain, you can also locate the confirmation email, access your myncl account, or view your bank/card details to 'prove' you have made this purchase.
People definitions of 'rude' are also on a sliding scale. What I may think is rude, another may not blink an eye at.

It's just business. No discrimination. We often get better deals to begin with compared to our US friends. And like I said, we asked about an upgrade but none were available but did get $50 per person obc from our PCC. because our staterooms are now selling £20 cheaper for the same cruise.

I'm afraid you have to just call the normal number as listed above, and from my experience, they will not give a deal better than paying the difference between what you paid and what the cabin you want is currently selling for.
We even tried calling the NCL US number but they wouldn't deal with us since we booked with NCL UK.
Let us know how you get on!
Same for us. I don't think us Brits get the same up sell opportunities as the USA folks. We did manage to squeeze a bit more obc out of our pcc though.

M6s definitely are not located at mid ship but very forward which is the place that many say is the worst location for up-and-down movement.
You might want to double check the deck plans for the exact location of your cabin.
I totally got mixed up. We are in a mid ship mini suite

Love the Orkneys. Round UK or Ireland and back perhaps?

We have an M6 booked for our getaway cruise in March. The bathroom is bigger, the balcony is bigger, and in our opinion we get a much better deck and position on the ship for my wife who gets a little sea sick (lower deck, mid ship)
Enjoy your trip :)

Do you think the time of year might have anything to do with staffing?

Reserve fire fighter here. In the last month I have personally attend 3 fires caused by these devices whilst charging. In our county, there have been 7. The cheap Chinese imports do not meet international let alone strict EU requirements for safety. And they are predicted to be the one of the biggest Christmas gifts this season. UK customs just seized 20,000 of these unsafe devices before they entered the market.

You know your kids best and really are the only people who can do what is essentially a risk assessment for what you will permit for them.
We cruise in March with our 11 year old. He is sensible, well mannered, and knows the limit of his confidence. Our thought process is that for the first couple days he will stay with us when not in kids club. Once he is comfortable with the ship layout, if he wants to go up to the buffet crepe station on his own for example then No problem. If he wants to hang out with friends in the video game place no problem. It is likely that he might not want to go places on his own and that's ok too. It's a family holiday as well his holiday.

Loving the review. A fresh approach in writing and critique! Can't wait for more :-)

Following as we are sailing in March on the western itinerary. Looking forward to pics and shore day info!

Yep. Buy it on ship for individuals. Also, wait til you are out of port and international waters and there is no state sales tax to pay either!

Congratulations!!!

Thanks so much. That's a big help for us to plan our day!
