  1. I am so sorry to hear about everyone's problems. We live in Florida and have all 3 shots available. My hubby and I had the 1st Pfizer shot the 3rd week of February and now will get the 2nd on March 11th. Right now they are doing 1st responders and over 65. Considering everyone in Florida is over 65 it may take a while. No just kidding, but a lot are.

We just got our first of two Pfizer shots and were issued a CDC card which we need to bring back when we get the second one which documents we received both shots. Once completed, we're going to laminate them and take them along with our passports whenever we fly somewhere or go on a cruise. Not quite sure how this is being handled in other countries, but we were under the assumption that was pretty common practice when someone gets vaccinated in the US. Is this not the case?

I am getting my 2nd Pfizer on 3/11 and was told by the nurse not to laminate it as we may need a booster and they would put it on the same card.

  3. I love Blu and hubby does not. We have never had a problem getting a menu from the MDR and letting him order from that. We always get the hanging balcony with the shade as well and love the Persian Gardens. This is our 2 cents and our first time on this ship. We loved the Constellation and the Infinity.

  4. Dear OP, I am so sorry for all the hurtful comments on Cruise Critic. My hubby is 75 and I am 66, blessed to be able to cruise. I would check with the wonderful daughter on what she has included in the cruise and be upfront. I hope everything works out for you and that your cruise is the best vacation you have ever taken.

  5. I use to smoke 18 years ago and was told I have COPD. I bring oxygen with me and normally only use it at night. I am well aware that Carnival allows smoking, however, it will not keep me out of the Casino. I don't like the smell anymore but will never judge the people that smoke as I use to be one. OK my 2 cents worth.

  6. I booked a balcony on Deck 6, however, I saw that the Circle C and Video Arcade were on that deck so I changed to Deck 8. I had a vision of kids running up and down the hall at night while their parents danced the night away. Not all parents but I have seen some. Let me rephrase, most parents watch the kids but it is the select few that bother me. OK hopefully I did not offend anyone, not intended.

  7. No, I'm not on this sailing. And I don't consider a documentary to be a feature film and would not pay to see one. The movies are all action movies which only speak to a certain demographic. So, no they are not family movies. The only person in my family who would want to see any of these is my 13 yo boy. Nothing for an 11 yo girl or me or grandma. How about a comedy or animated movie that everyone in the family can enjoy?

This Granny loved Star Wars and have seen them all.:D

  8. Good morning and thank you again for your review of Constellation.

We'll be sailing on her this Sunday. I'll be with my daughter who is a college senior. She just found out yesterday that one of her good friends from high school will also be on our cruise with her mother. :) My daughter was asking last night if Celebrity had any kind of a dance club? She's thinking about last year's cruise on Liberty of the Seas while they still had The Crypt or Dungeon or whatever it was. :) I told her I didn't think they have anything like that on Celebrity ships, but maybe late night in one of the larger lounges they might have dance music happening for the college kids. Have you noticed anything like this?

(As far as her friend being on the cruise, this is a win-win for everyone. Honestly, I love traveling with my daughters, but I was a little concerned I'd have to stay out late with her for at least a few nights, because after all it is her spring break. I'm almost 55, and while I can handle a few late nights here and there, my problem is I'm an early riser, regardless of what time I've gone to bed, even when I'm on vacation. So this is a good thing for everyone, and I'm sure the other girl's mom feels the same way too.)

I have always been an early riser as I use to get up at 4 for work. Since I retired last Oct. I manage to make it to about 6 before my back starts to say get up. We are normally in bed by 10 but on the ship we are casino peeps so may be up later.

  9. We went to Nachi and loved it. We had a waiter that kept the drinks coming, a massage on the beach and a great lunch. They also had a bit of a walk going to little shops. The beach was great. We had about 25 people from our ship. Taxi ride took a while, find another couple to split the cost. It still came out cheaper than the ship price.

  10. First of all mom, not trying to be mean, at 6 your child should know how to swim like a fish. My children and grandchildren all had Red Cross training. If you can afford a cruise, you can afford lessons. Ok now that I have that off my chest, Coast Guard approved life jackets ONLY. Some of the PRETTY character ones when put on can flip over. Water wings never, throw them away.

Finally, please make sure you watch your child at all times as I wear a headset and listen to music, people watch and looking after your child is now on my list of activities.

Enjoy your cruise and I hope I did not upset you, however, being from Coastal cities, I have seen many children drown while mom was reading. God Bless!
