Now that Windstar no longer sails up the river to Sevilla and docks in Cadiz it is difficult to get to Sevilla. I have found a great private company Spain Day Tours that offers a day trip to Sevilla but needs a 10 person minimum. They charge $69/person whereas Windstar charges $179/person. I have posted on Roll Call but have gotten no response. The sailing is in May and I would think most people have booked by now? Any other way to reach fellow cruisers? I guess Windstar cruisers don't use cruise critic much.

I am reaching out to past cruisers for some info. Cruising on the Pride,which in the past sailed up the river to Sevilla. Now they are docking in Cadiz. There are no excursions posted on the website for Sevilla at this time but all the other ports have many excursions. They only offer all day private chauffeured tours of Cadiz. I find that strange. It is 4 months away but I would like to make plans now. There is no one on Roll Calls usually the case with Windstar, not their style I guess. Any suggestions?

Done! Too good to turn down. I just wonder what "overbooked" really means at Windstar!

Just got an email today from Windstar saying that they overbooked our Sep 10 Spanish Serenade Lisbon- Barcelona. They are asking passengers to change to a future cruise Sep 18 (similar itinerary). They will refund deposits and give you a free cruise if you change or you can choose any other cruise for the same price, plus some $$ for changing airfare! Have you ever heard of overbooking a cruise? It's tempting but we don't like the Windsurf as much as the smaller ships. We are on the Pride.

Booked a couple shore excursions for a September cruise and I was told MyWindstar would be up and running. That was two weeks ago. This is ridiculous. Whoever they hired to do this is most incompetent.

I tried to login on MY Windstar today and I couldn't. Tried three times. I wanted to see the shore excursions for Seville which are omitted from the website for some reason. I am so frustrated right now. I may call them and complain!

I have a cruise booked for September but it is not yet on "My Windstar". Anyone else have the same issue?

Has anyone done the Windstar tour of Manuel Antonio park? Would like to do an independent tour but worried about making a 7 am departure? If the ship docks at 6 how long does it take to get to shore ? I am assuming they use zodiacs?

I was able to book my excursions for upcoming cruise. Did not see my airport transfers though although they are paid for. Can you now book a cruise and see cabin availability on website. It still shows only phone number to call.

Says on Website unavailable until November 4. Well that's today and it's still not available! How infuriating.

Has anyone done the snorkel trip to Cano Island offered by Windstar? Is it worth $165/person?

I guess it is worth asking although the upgrade would only involve a move from Deck 3 to 4! They also give 5% off which isn't bad. The prices are at an all time low! We are booked on the Pride for Panama Canal cruise.

Just wondering if any past Windstar cruisers like myself have ever gotten a cabin upgrade? It is listed as a member "benefit".

I will be on the Valor this coming weekend. Do you know if the game will be shown on the ship? Do they get FOX? Does it depend where the ship is located?

I'm a big fan and hoping to watch the game!

Thanks for the report. We are going on that cruise in February. Was the beach BBQ on Pigeon Island? And which night was the onship BBQ? Any info on the ports would be much appreciated. How was the weather?

Apparently if you call Sonesta the day of they will tell you if they have availability for day pass. Has anyone done that?

Has anyone had any luck finding a day room on return to await flight? I have tried Holland House, Westin, Sonesta and all say they are fully booked. I appreciate4 any info you all may have.

I thoroughly enjoyed your review. It looks as if you were somewhat dissatisfied with the food. I thought the food on Windstar was above average. Will be sailing on the Wind Spirit in a few weeks. Hoping for a great first time experience and calm seas.
