On our trip last month, there was no check in at the Queen Mary.
All done at the dome, lots of people there early (10:30).
-
It was on our electronic profile on the card when we got it.

We can't recommend Standard Limousine after our experience with them last week. The driver we had programmed his cell phone GPS as he was driving, and still got lost on the way to the Miracle (ended up at the USS Iowa).
Drove like a crazy man, didn't enjoy the experience. They were on time, however.

We received our sticker at the first bar we went to (the lobby bar on the Miracle)

I would be very surprised if that were to occur. Carnival has said many times (some from very high ranking people directly to me) that Carnival cruise line is the Caribbean alternative, Australia was a one off due to the similarity of the market. China would be served by other Carnival companies (Princess, HAL and Costa were named). What was the level (job) of the person that told you this?
It was a guide from our Behind the Fun tour. Very well connected with all the ship's personnel.

Just got off the Carnival Miracle, and heard from a crewmember that the Miracle is destined for redeployment to service the China market in the future. That could explain why not all of all the 2.0 upgrades were installed.

Just got of the Miracle, and had pre-purchased the Cheers package. Didn't have the sticker when we picked up our S&S card, had to get it from one of the bars that were selling the program. Won't order it again because we didn't reach our break even every day, just didn't get off our balcony and drink enough.

I just booked with Standard Limousine (standard-limousine.com). Their prices were pretty good, will let you know about their service after the cruise.
-
Has anyone heard how the mechanics of this will work? When you pick up your sail& sign card at check-in, the Cheers package will be activated and on your card ready to go?

Try this website. We have a booking for the LAX Hilton, but are a bit concerned because they don't ask for a credit card to hold the room, so makes me think it's not guaranteed.

Something I've never had before. On holidays I want to get away from routine, try new things.
-
Thank you for the review, and the great advice. We sail on the Miracle on Sept 19th.
-
Your Sail & Sign card is how you make your purchases on ship, from drinks to gift shop items.
It also has your folio number on it, which is your onboard account when you make excursion reservations.
On most ships it is also your room key.

It is for the whole cruise. It is on sale the first and second days, and you need to pay the daily price even if it is a shore day. Lots of debate on these forums if it's worth it or not, it depends on your situation and what you like to drink.

We are looking at the exact same itinerary as the OP in September.
I like the looks of the GrayLine shuttle to Anaheim, but haven't decided how we are going to get to the Queen Mary from Anaheim yet (or to LAX after the cruise)..

Hurricane Blanca is headed towards Cabo San Lucas, expected to drop to a tropical storm near landfall on Saturday June 6.
-
Thanks for the heads up. Just bought a dozen.
-
I like the Boardwalk idea, thanks.
-
Thanks for the option. DW wants a pool and relaxation before our flight.
-
We are cruising the Miracle in September, but can't get a flight home until 5 pm. Can anyone recommend a good day hotel near LAX with a pool?

I would like the ability to book reserved seats for shows. No longer having to rush to get a good seat & then wait for the show to begin. Could arrive at my leisure and be seated just before the show begins. Would eliminate the chair hogs reserving seats for people that never show up.
-
If there wasn't a balcony available, I wouldn't cruise.
