It’s tricky what’s yiu are thinking about is a room  BX which is not available for promotion (all codes with X are by qualified) also known as a sail away. This is slightly different the cost is more expensive as it’s an actual catagory in this case BF, but they have no regular rooms left so they only offer you GTY for the room code ( take your chances on getting an accessible or someone gets a bid up releasing one) Codes with X are cheaper and therefore not available for the free promo ( which as you can see is not free LOL)

When I check this promotion it tells me it's available until October 28. I'm really thinking of trying it as it's cheaper for airfare and if any delays happen they take care of new flights if required, it also pairs with 3 free and unlimited WIFI. I live in snowbelt so this makes me feel safer; I can use it for a dec 8 departure on a balcony BF guarantee left only $899. 

Looking for cruisers opinions on how they prefer to book their cruises. I am looking at booking a last minute cruise for December on the Bliss using the Air Free @ Sea promotion. This would include airfare, 3 promotions on a balcony BF (only GTY left) 899$, my TA is offering another 75 OBC for cruise under 1000 and a further 50 for being a loyalty customer total of $125 OBC extra. Is there any downside booking with them instead of NCL directly; the cruise is 42 days out.

I hope so too although you can type in a search it’s not very helpful  especially when your boat is call getaway, as that word is used a lot on top of that scrolling over and over through roll call after roll call isn’t helpful. ! I also want to see generic groups which are not ship specific but line specific; I learnt so many things I didn’t even know to search for this way before.

I wish there were sub categories for each ship

I just received an email from Celebrity indicating that they have cancelled my cruise for September. Absolutely no reason given just a generic line "There has been a change to your cruise reservation or guest status"! Wow is this normal? This would have been my 2nd cruise with Celebrity and now I am rethinking ever booking with them again. This was a Mediterranean cruise and flights need to be booked far in advance with a no refund policy or a large cancellation charge. This seems like bad service; especially with NO info.

Very disappointed with Celebrity

Well, my husband and I have thought about trying Celebrity, but to be honest, this Review has me rethinking that. As for the number of cruises that OP has taken, that is plausible as my teenager has gone on 12 with two more scheduled for this year. However, my concern is with the lack of "things to do" and the "poor quality of food..." has anyone else been on this ship lately and enjoyed it?

Just got off the Reflection January 30 and must say I found absolutely nothing about this post plausible! I travel extensively and have high standards often being called a Princess and only eat at restaurants with chefs and avoid chain restaurants at all cost and found the Buffet crazy good. Daily they had roast chicken, Entire turkeys, 3 different types of pork roast two types of fish and at least 1 beef roast available and you had it cut to order. What else could you need and why not get 2 pieces of chicken!! This paired with steaks, Mexican food nachos taco wraps, Stir Fry, area, Curry Area Pasta and Pizza too many kinds to describe leaves me baffled at this review. You'd be wise to get feedback elsewhere

Cruise #4 with Celebrity but first time trying out the all included option. With the OBC offered by our TA this is a fantastic deal!

Did you use a Canadian TA or US TA?

I was given my OBN and OBR back but used mosted of the OBN up from gratuities and purchases

I was just on Reflection and I was given my OBC in cash from guest services 3 separate times during the crude. Non-refundable as well

I just got off Reflection and received OBC credit from guest services during the cruise no problem.

Staff on Celebrity make 50$ a month and the gratuity is the only money your stewards and waiters make. If you don't like the way it works don't cruise. One word KARMA

How do you actually go about changing to a cash account?

The Haitians that are allowed to work/sell @ Labadee which there are approximately 200 have to PAY Royal Caribbean to do so! Royal Caribbean pays the Haitian government approx 12pp to land there.

I am Canadian and I just found out I am not elligible for the USA travel roam plan with my cellular provider and I was depending on it. I do have an unlocked Iphone 4 which I normally use for travel purchasing SIM cards when abroad. Problem is we leave on Saturday for our cruise and was relying on my normal plan until the bad news today so I have not planned properly.

Does anyone know if and how you can purchase a SIM card for an unlocked phone which covers USA, Puerto Rico and USVI for travel or even possible a throw away phone to use while in ports? We are doing the Eastern cruise and flying into FLL to depart from POM

Sadly this is why I won't use NCL Celebrity still allows full cancellation up until a certain date. A 25% penalty is outlandish

I was scheduled on the Jan 30th departure from Hamilton but I didn't like all the unsurety so I cancelled and booked separate. Glad I did now hearing what you are dealing with. Hope you get it all sorted out.

Thanks for all the input. I called Celebrity Dining- which gladly is the only number that they answer quickly and spoke to a very nice lady there. I asked for a table of 6 ( to meet others) and she recommended centre of dining room as well. Not sure if that means it will be what we get but I am sure excited to see, we leave in 9 days and we just received a lovely gift of more than 2 feet of snow.

 

Do you check your assigned seat on port day?

Not sure what that means?.

Sorry to be vague; I meant to check the dining room for your table on embarkation day prior to the first dinner to see if it in a good location

What is everyone's recommendations for table location and seating in the Opus MDR.

Table size 2, 4,6 or 8

Area in the room? Middle of room, Window, Entrance area, closer to kitchen ETC

Celebrity seems even worse than I thought

I had purchased 3 different gifts, the first 2 they charged a higher amount then the receipt I was sent which turned out to be the problem everyone else is having of charging 34.4 instead of the 30.6 quoted and receipted at. The 3rd was even worse I purchase 6 units which my receipt shows I paid 183.60 CAD and they billed my CC 309.60 which seems to be the higher cost for 9 units.

Not only are they charging whatever they want for a unit they are adding units that were not purchased either. Sadly their wait time is over the top again
