  1. I was considering doing this for my mom as she loved cruising.    With going through Carnival, you have to be 12 miles offshore before you can scatter your ashes.    My mom couldn't swim and I didn't think that she would like this so we are going with another option.

  2. We just returned from a Panama Canal cruise and stopped in Cartagena and used Dora for our excursion and she was WONDERFUL.   She was funny, enthusiastic, witty and you could tell that she loved her country/city with all of the history and knowledge that she shared.      We were in an air conditioned Mercedes van with 10 other people on the tour and were amazed at the beauty of the city.  If you book with her, you won't be disappointed.

  3. Long time lurker here.....We did Rhythms of the night twice while in PV.     The first time was in December when the sun went down early and the island/venue was dark and we got to experience the magnificence of the show and venue.    The second time we did it was in March and it was very light out and had a totally different experience.       I guess what I am saying, if you are going to spend that kind of money per person for this excursion, make sure it is going to be dark when you are going so that you can get the full experience.   Otherwise, the show during the light of day is just "meh"

Love this photo.    We had a Westie and her name was DD which stood for "Damn Dog".    She was the best dog ever.    However, when we got her, we weren't thinking of how much grooming a white dog needed - she had a standing appointment every 5 weeks (she had way more days of beauty than I did)!

  5. We know that when you buy liquor on board in the Fun Shop, you pick it up on the day you disembark.    When doing a B2B, if we were to purchase liquor on the first leg of our trip, would we be able to pick it up on the last day and then bring it to our room to enjoy on the second leg of our trip?    We are just curious if anyone has done this and what your experience was.   If we have to pick it up at the very end of our trip, I will just order a bottle of liquor online to have delivered to our room and not make a purchase in the Fun Shop.

    Thank you.

  6. We just got off the Panorama last weekend and had a fabulous time.    We are looking at booking her again the first week in December.   However, it was a little cool on the first and last day on the ship.    I'm curious if anyone has any experience cruising in December if we will even be able to sit outside on the first and last day?      Just trying to make up my mind if we want to go at this time of year or hold off until a little bit later.

    Thanks for your help.

  7. We have a trip to Alaska in August and I know that I will need to layer clothing. I'm curious what people wear in the main dining room. I did a search on this and responses were from years ago where it seems that jeans were worn by the majority of people in the dining room. Is this still the case? I'm assuming that the elegant nights people still get dressed up.

I'm finding it hard to get excited for this trip -- my idea of cruising is palm trees and sandy beaches -- not mukluks and ice! LOL

  8. I posted this question over on the "Cabin Selection Tip" forum, but didn't get a response, so I'll try asking here.

We are looking at booking 2 aft cabins on the Victory. Can the balcony divider be opened between two aft balconies like they can on regular balcony cabins? How about between an aft wrap (Vista) and a regular aft cabin?

Thanks for any information that you can provide ...... getting excited just thinking about this!
