I agree... wish everyone would stop giving me nasty looks when I have my chin diaper on
Agreed.
We will be wearing them for our upcoming B2B and I don't care who stares or who comments. Don't like it, don't wear one but don't comment on my choice. Your thoughts don't matter to me. Your feelings that it protects nothing doesn't matter to me. If I offend you, walk away. I'm always amazed at people wanting to tell others they are wrong when it doesn't affect them.
There, I said it. 😉

Costco does not participate in the Royal Up program.
So if I go to the actual Royal Up page on the Royal website I can not use it? I understand I won't get the email offer however I thought I could do it on the Royal site.
Thank you for your answer.

I'm wondering if I need to do something I'm not aware of to use the Royal Up program. I'm going to the Royal Up page, keying in my last name and reservation number, but it keeps saying to make sure my sailing is within 30 days. It is. I'll add that I am booked with Costco if that makes a difference.
Any suggestions as what I should be doing to get to see what is on offer for my sailing? Do I need to do something in my Royal account?
Thank you for any information or help you can provide.

Ok, it’s senseless to stay onboard. I’ll do what you say Charles. Thank you.If there is one thing I have learned about CC it's that when you ask a simple question, 20 people have to jump all over it and tear you down. You will get a few kind people who will answer your question but always in the background, the ones who try and make you feel dumb.
CC seems to be the hunting ground for rude people. It's unfortunate but I've learned to turn down the noise.

Does Izumi do takeout sushi? I would like to have this for lunches however I don't necessarily want to sit down for a meal. We will be on the UDP, would this be classified under the plan?
-
Is it covered under the UDP when you board?

We do B2B pretty much every time we cruise. I use the laundry bag service they offer. I think it is about $35. Underwear, shorts, shirts, pj's, socks, anything that is in need of a cleaning. If you do use this service I suggest you fold your clothes as you put them in the bag. You can fit more in that way.
ETA--never had an issue with anything being damaged or shrinking.

I just checked the RCL website to see what the requirements are at the moment for covid testing. The website says 'Fully vaccinated guests must bring a negative test result for a COVID-19 antigen or PCR test taken within the 3 days before boarding day on sailings that are 6 nights or longer only'.
We are on a 7 night sailing so we have to do one. My question is, we sail on a Saturday, does this mean we can get tested on a Wednesday or do we have to wait till the Thursday? It seems to me that Wednesday would be 3 days before boarding day however a friend told me I was incorrect.
What's your thought?

Day 1 Embarkation Day
I was just told that there are 4000 guests onboard and that Jamie’s will be leaving the ship and will be replaced by Giovanni’s!
Did they give a date for this? I love Jamie's. 😞

Have you seen people having issues with cancelling and repurchasing refreshment packages with this sale? I cancelled two refreshment packages and then bought them again at the sale price on 11/23. I still have never received a confirm for the new order, though the order shows on my account. I did get a a new confirm for the order that had the original packages on it with the excursion I purchased on that order still on the confirm, no refreshment packages on it but still the original total cost. I have had a pending charge on my AMEX since the 23rd but that has now disappeared and no charge was posted. I was issued two credits for the refreshment packages on the 24th. I don't want to lose out on the sale price.
I canceled a drink package on the 23rd because I needed to reprice. The purchase went through fine, it was bought with OBC. I could see it in my planner.
Today I went into my planner and the drink package was no longer there. The OBC was there in the original full amount. I called RCL and asked what happened to the package. The sales person told me I had called and canceled it on the 24th. Um, no, I did not. He could not explain any further than that.
I ended up repurchasing and was happy the price had not gone up. That would have really annoyed me.
Anyways, sounds like your dates are the same as mine so keep your eye open and if you need to, give them a call to get it straightened out.

Just booked a cabana as well and was charged tax. This was Oasis Lagoon cabana.
Was thinking about booking an over the water cabana but since there is just two of us it seemed like a stretch and then add the tax, no thanks.
-
I just booked one and paid tax. Oh well, I'll have a place of my own and that's all I care about.
-
Are there cabanas by the pool?

I always send hubby to fetch drinks. He has refreshment package, I have DDP. He has only had an issue once. They wanted to know where I was. He was able to point me out so they gave it to him but told him I needed to be there. This was at the solarium bar.
No one else questioned it. Just be prepared in case.

The over the water on my date was $1699 but all sold out.
Sorry, I should have mentioned that mine is in Canadian funds. I will assume that your is in US? That would be a big difference.

My Water park cabana hasn't changed in price ($699) for our April 2022 cruise since I purchased it several months ago. Was hoping with the Black Friday pricing it would. Actually none of the cabanas prices have.
None of the cabana prices have changed at all in my planner either. I was looking at the over the water cabana however, since there was no price deduction for black Friday and there is a very good chance we would have to pay tax on top of the $2150, I think we will pass. At least for now.

I called to have them reprice one of my drink packages, savings of $30 a week on a B2B so figured it was worth it. The agent has it in such a mess that she had to submit a ticket to IT with the hopes they can figure it out and fix it.
How hard is it to cancel a refreshment package and rebook? Apparently so hard that IT has to try and fix it.
-
Is there a tax or gratuity added to the cost of these? Wondering if the price I see is the actual price or if it would actually be more.

What is the point? I know, it's to tell if your vaccinated however, if it is removable then I can take it off and give it to whoever I want.
Say I'm traveling with my sister and she is not vaxxed. I go to the show tonight, take it off and give it her and she goes to the show tomorrow night. It doesn't make any sense.
And before anyone gets into yelling because I'm a bad person for doing that, I will let you know my sister is vaccinated, this is only an example of what someone could do.
So again, why bother if they can be removed.

We had one this past September. When you get on the ship, go to the excursions desk and ask to pick which cabana you want. They were able to do this for us.
Is one better than another? How do you know their numbers?

We had an OTW cabana at the Beach Club last month. We could not hear anything from any other cabana. The speakers (they have preset stations you can play or you can use your phone) sound a little loud when you're sitting in it, but we couldn't even hear our own once we got in the water. Maybe we got lucky but I don't think you will have any issues
Were you able to access Wi-fi from the cabana?

Any recommendations for the best over the water cabana.
Are you able to actually pick which one you would like?
Crew masks 😷

See, this is what I often experience. People say they don't care if I wear a mask or not yet need to comment on the fact I choose to wear a mask. I never mentioned the publicly stated reason for wearing a mask. I mentioned I was going to wear a mask and don't care what others think even though some feel the need to mention my choices.
ETA-this is not directed at you specifically. It is directed at those who feel they need to mention my choices.
