  1. would not play for first time on ship - the odds on the ship (as opposed to a land based casino) were terrible - only single odds behind the line unless you are betting 25 on pass line, and then only double - no thanks.

  2. my son broke his arm roller blading on AOS.  They xrayed it, set it and gave him a removable splint, and burned a copy of the xray onto a disc.  My wife took him to an ortho in St. Lucia, who had no issues with what the Dr on board had done.  Same with our ortho once we returned home.  We never received a bill from the boat - we received a bill from the St. Lucia ortho, which our insurance reimbursed 9 months after we submitted it.

  3. St. Kitts Carambola is awesome, get their early for good seats.

Antigua -  Beach Limerz.  Ten minutes from cruise ship, 12 for the for of us in cab.

Nice little beach, umbrellas, chairs, bathroom, restaurant, kayaks, paddle boards, etc - there was no one else on the beach with us all day - like our own private resort.

Total for four chairs, two umbrellas, three drinks, three lunches and use of kayak and SUP for as long as we wanted ....$110.

Mel was working at the bar, absolute sweetheart. Highly recommend.

  4. my son and I always go to WJ for our "pre-dinner" dinner - have a few snacks, sample a bit, and check out the desserts.  After MDR, we sometimes return for dessert.  But if you see something you really, really like for dessert, ask for a plate and a cover and take it with you to MDR, as we lost out on a tasty looking pie as it was gone upon our return.

  5. but its not like they dont make money on craps tables with standard 3-4-5 odds. Instead, regular craps players just dont play - instead of playing for 2 plus hours a night, I just dont bother. Maybe they get newbies who dont get it, but craps is sometimes intimidating for new people. On a cruise several years ago, there was one craps table open, with one half reserved for a high roller, who routinely had thousands of dollars on the board at any one time. I can guaruntee you that he wouldnt be playing at a single odds table...

  6. my son and I do a "pre-dinner dinner" every night at the WJ while wife and daughter are getting ready. Scope it out, grab what looks good, and make a note as to dessert (sometimes we leave MDR and head to WJ for dessert after). Often, I find that I should have just eaten more in WJ as the selections were better than those in the MDR that night.

  7. we were not charged a corkage fee on Adventure in April - it was day three, we already knew our waiter, my wife said she felt like wine, and i asked if he would charge a corkage fee if we brought it in. he said no, and thus i returned with the "already corked" bottle (which she finished, like a champ). My wife always walked in with a quite full glass of wine, too.

  8. we had four bottles of wine on board (two cabins). My wife would have a glass while getting ready for dinner, top it off and bring it to dinner. She'd often get a cocktail at dinner. A few nights in, she said she wanted wine. I asked my server (same one all seven nights even though MTD) if he was going to charge me a corkage fee. He looked at me like I had three heads and said no. I went and grabbed the wine and, good soldier that she is, she polished it off...

  9. we just cruised from PR in April - no issues. Arrived, got into line for "people with bags". RCCL guy on way gave us tags. Dropped off bags to porters, then got in other line for "people without bags." this took us through security. Got in line for seapass cards. Got on ship.

Total time from leaving Sheraton (next to port) until sitting down with first plate at WJ was about 46 minutes.
