  1. Hello All,

I'm on Magic next week, and trying to have a drink at every watering hole.

I've come up with the following list, can anyone help fill in any missing places (I didn't include the MDR, also I do have a column in my spreadsheet for hours, but haven't included that here since it it still empty):

    Name Location Specialty

    Alchemy Deck 5, Midship Martinis

Magic Lobby Bar Deck 2, Fwd

    Escape Bar Deck 3, Fwd

    Spotlight Lounge Deck 5, Aft

Play it Again Piano Bar Deck 5, Aft

Red Frog Pub Deck 5, Midship

Hat Trick Bar/Casino Deck 5, Fwd

BlueIguana Tequila Bar Deck 10, Midship/Port Tequila

Red Frog Rum Bar Deck 10, Midship/Stbd Rum

    Bar (?) Deck 12, Aft

    Serenity Bar Deck 15/Serenity

    Coffee Bar ? Coffee/Milkshakes

    Cuciana Capitano ?

    Piano Bar ?

    Steak House Bar Deck 5/Aft/Port

(and I can't get it to format nicely)

    Thanks in advance.

  2. Just because the ship ports a 7am, doesn't mean you have to get off the ship at 7am. We got off the ship around 11, my wife went to Jack's Shack with some friends and I went on a private dive. As far as crowds, it's very crowded at both Jacks and Margaritaville. Some people went to a resort and did a one day all inclusive.

    COEVAN,

Can you give me info about your dive? It's been 10 years since I dove, one excursion required a logged dive within 2 years.

    thanks

  3. However, I'm in almost the same situation for my next cruise (passports expires two days after disembarking), and I'm renewing. I don't know what would happen if I have a medical emergency in the Bahamas, and I'm admitted to the hospital for a week. With an expired passport.

    Or am I overthinking things?

Embassy/consular affairs will help you out. It won't be painless though.

  4. I haven't been to Oblivion Taproom since the new owners took over but it was fantastic last time I was there. I hear the new guys kept the spirit of the place though and still have great food and a ton of craft beer on tap and more in bottles and cans. It's on HWY 50 (Colonial Drive) east of downtown. My kilting up group meets at Redlight on occasion - good beer but you gotta bring your own food.

Oblivion is another block or two past the street Redlight Redlight is on (coming from downtown).

They still have the awesome tater tots - I get mine with Old Bay and a few beers and go home happy. It looks like a dive both inside and out but good food and good beer are far more important to me than pretty polished brass and such.

Thanks for that, will be in town for a conference and will try to get there.

  5. I was also told it was wrong to work into the MDR with a drink in my hand.

Oh we'll never claimed to have class.

That's someone else's decision about me.

It took too long to get a drink in the MDR, so I always stopped before we went into dinner.

  6. You need to speak with the special needs department. I almost guarantee there is someone in an accessible or modified accessible cabin on your cruise who doesn't need it. They can move them and put you into that cabin. Sometimes you need to push a little.

Call back and ask to speak with someone in special needs and make it clear that the accessible cabin is necessary.

    ^^^^THIS!

I'm booked in an accessible room, but don't require it (due to location and our group). I was told that I would be moved if someone needed the room (and I'm okay with it. I wouldn't come up and give you the stink eye if you took my room, which you won't be).

  7. I've searched for the answer to this but can't find it anywhere. Does anyone know if port is allowed as part of the 2 bottles of wine per cabin that we can bring for embarkation? Or is it considered a liquor? I like wine a lot, but I really, really love port. :-) Thanks in advance!

I consider it wine. I read on the boards that someone else really had to convince the screeners that "port wine" is really wine though.

  8. As of right now I don't believe our group has plans to go to the steakhouse. But maybe I'll swing by there to see if they have a separate beverage list

I thought I read that there was a bar in the steakhouse that anyone may visit. Can someone confirm this?
