  1. kind of a long shot here but maybe i will get lucky. Any chance you or husband are bourbon drinkers? I know all of carnival fleet will carry makers and woodford but the past couple cruises all had Bookers at the Alchemy bar. I know the Elation doesn't have the Alchemy bar but i was wondering if you guys happen to be whisky drinkers and notice the selection. Thanks

  2. Both of the last comments are mostly true. Example, I'm drinking a beer and three new friends walk up. They will allow you to "purchase" three drinks for those individuals. None of which will count towards your 15. On the other hand, If myself and three friends walk up to the bar, I order a drink for all 4 of us, one drink would then count towards the daily limit. My experience on the CHEERS package has been mostly positive, with the occasional hiccup.

One example of something that has happened to me. Myself and a few friends are on a bachelor party so drinks are flowing and we are nearing our limit. I just try to purchase friends drinks without getting myself one and have been refused service because the bartender knew that everyone in my group had the CHEERS package and were getting close to our 15th drink. The staff pays pretty close attention. Our plans to go above and beyond 15 that night were quickly slowed(not that we needed any more) haha I've purchased the cheers on the past 5-7 cruises i'd say and my upcoming rip in February i will purchase again.

  3. I believe it is 18% that is added within the CHEERS package. I find it that when you leave a extra dollar or two bartenders remember you throughout your vacation and the pours and service go from good to great. I've had cheers a few times now and thats always been the case.

  4. amoody914, We have a group that will be on the Nov 3rd cruise as well. I have seen a bunch of people posting about the nov6th sailing but not many for ours. i started a roll call with minimal replies. i see Freeport will be closed but our itinerary only takes us to Nassau. 20 days!

  5. Driving me crazy that i don't know this. I do know there was a bartender at the lobby bar named Simon, and her husband worked at the Alchemy Bar so we would always go see him. Great drinks but i can't remember his name. Elvis worked the red frog pub bar often and we frequented him also.

  6. So many different answers here. I know for a fact 100% positive that if you go to the craps table and throw your sign and sail card down and say you want lets say $200 to play, that there is a charge applied. Not sure what the fee % is whether is 3% like stated above or more or less, I always bring cash. I believe this is true with all table games. Slots may be different as i never lose my money there! ;)

  7. i will completely agree with KCPumpkin, from my experience with any group larger than 6-8 we always had to go to a pretty early dinner to avoid a pretty significant wait(hour or more) some of the guest didn't mind as we just waited at a close bar and had a few drinks waiting to be seated. For non drinkers, i would 100% recommend eating before 6 to help with the wait. Hope this helps

  8. I've always gone to the steakhouse bar for a drink before dinner in the MDR. They always had a great selection of Scotch. Some 18 year old single malts. Except for the last time, 2 years ago on the Dream. They just had what every other bar had. I hope they have brought the higher end stuff back. I always just told the hostess that I just wanted to get a drink at the bar. Never a problem.

This is exactly what i'm trying to do. I've heard of the steakhouse bar having a bourbon or scotch that others may not

  9. Question for anyone who frequents the Steakhouse. I have read on this forum that during dinner guests have ordered more premium drinks with their cheers package in the steakhouse then what are offered in all other areas onboard. Do the steakhouses usually have a bar to go grab a drink(without sitting for dinner) or is this for dinner guests only? thanks in advance

  10. I would love to know what single Malt Scotch they have at the steakhouse. If you go there please let me know. Thanks

As of right now I don't believe our group has plans to go to the steakhouse. But maybe I'll swing by there to see if they have a separate beverage list

  11. that library list is pretty much what i was looking for. Thanks I agree in thinking that Woodford is pretty good. Makers is always tasty just was looking to see what else they offered. Don't recall seeing Bookers on the ship but thats a cool addition . Have a bottle of that sitting right in front of me right now. I sail again in a couple weeks so if i have any new findings ill be sure to post them. Thanks for all the other replies

  12. Been on several cruises and know for the most part what they offer. But would anyone happen to have a list or menu of the whisky that carnival offers? This will be the first time I'm using the "enhanced" cheers package with the raised limit. Just wondering what some of the more premium choices they had. Thanks in advance

  13. This may be an option for you also if your trying to get the most alcohol value from your cheers package. May will be my 4th time using the cheers package,1st under the new "enhanced CHEERS" but if you look at the drink menus some of the specialty drinks of the day or specialty drinks for specific bars are double shot drinks, and since they are listed that way that double drink would still only count as one of your 15 per day drinks. For example last year on the Sunshine in the sports bar they had a drink that was just a jack and coke, but it was a double shot of jack(it had a sports theme name but i can't remember it). Only counted as one of our drinks. We then just asked bartenders at the different bars and some of them had a drink like this and some didn't.
