OK. Today is the day. I was told that they start booking May 31. I read somewhere on here that they start at 5AM Eastern time. Sadly, I am awake, no sales yet. ;) I called them, they said 10AM Central Time. That seems late, compared to the last December tix I bought. I remember them selling fast at 7AM Eastern time. I'll keep trying today.

The small print said "on selected sailings before December 15"...

Ah! Thank you. I didn't read the small print. I guess my best hope would be a sale on Black Friday, if I can get a sale that close to sail date. Thanks.

Is the sale over already? No sale listed for drinks or internet for Harmony during Christmas.

Not sure about your 2nd question. If I were to interpret that, I would think it means that if you redeem points for something (i.e. excursion) that you have to use it w/in 180 days. You can't hold the excursion for a year.

Thank you for the info. As for the hotel for a day: I used to think that was an odd excursion, since you have the pool and drinks/food at the ship, but I'm starting to wonder if I would like it.

Have you heard anything from your new genie yet? I’m curious, is booking your airline tickets usually less expensive if you’re booking through RCO? I have 5 tickets to buy for next Christmas at peak time.

Thank you! That helps. I wish they would post now. I would rather do Southwest b/c they are direct flight and don't have luggage fees, but I am worried that I am missing out on not getting something now. I'll have to set my alarm for when they go on sale. Thanks for the info.

We had 4 devices as well. I can’t recall if it was four codes on Harmony, but I am pretty sure it was. I ad to have my teens log off for the other one to log in. You do have to manage it a little bit when sharing with multiple people.

I tend to lean toward less expensive rooms when o travel with my three teens on RC. We cruise at the most expensive time of the year (Xmas) so I save the money. I would love to try a suite but it’s just too much with all the other stuff we want to do.

Thank you all. I have looked at SW website and I can't tell when they will release Xmas travel dates. I question if they really will be that much less expensive than the other airlines. I typically have to pay about $6-700 per person at this time, since it's high season (Xmas, NYE, Saturday to Saturday). My gut says that Southwest can't be that much cheaper to make it worth waiting. That said, they will fly direct most likely and the other airlines all have stops somewhere. I wonder if the rates on other airlines (American, Delta...) are going to go up a lot by the time Southwest releases their flights. Right now they are starting at the low 600s per person.

I am flying a crew to Florida during peak time (Christmas, 2018). I am trying to compare prices and Southwest hasn't listed their prices yet. I know they have free luggage. I don't know if there is enough of a savings that it's worth waiting until they list the price or if I should just buy from someone else. I just have no idea when Southwest Air will list their December, 2018 prices. Does anyone else know? Trying to plan for a family of 5, so a few hundred on each ticket can make a bigger difference in my family. Thank you.

I buy it from Insuremytrip.com I call them (b/c I don't understand all the options on their site) and talk to them about what the key pieces are I want to cover (i.e. weather, health, flights cancelled...). They are cheaper than RCI for my purposes.

Regarding he lunch: wouldn’t it have been easier for all just to get you a proper lunch on time instead of having the apology your and multiple room deliveries ? Delivering lunch shouldn’t be an out of routine task.

Too bad about the closures due to weather. It sounds like you're still having fun though. I agree; not having a toddler on hand for tours allows you to take things in more leisurely. I hope the pool weather is still good and you can take in some sun.

Totally the largest ship. It's so funny to me now. It was my first (or 2nd?) cruise. We did Majesty and Monarch. Maybe it was Monarch that was first. I remember coming in at Christmas time and being completely WOW'ed. This was back in the days w/out internet and you tube, so my parents could only explain so much before getting on the ship. I won't forget my initial reaction. It was awesome. Now, it's funny because they seem so teeny. I do the Oasis class ships now, so it's funny. That said, I never lacked for things to do. A day at the pool and night at the bar (b/c you could drink at age 18 ish) was great. And the shows. I loved taking my kids on their first cruise (Oasis of the Seas) and seeing their reactions. You really can't prepare someone until they are on the ship.

My son was decorating the tree tonight and asked me about this ornament. It’s definitely old because we bought this when we took the ship which was one Majesty was new.
