  1. Never had a Guy's burger, so this is an honest question as regularly see folks on this board recommend on ship or line vs the other on this issue alone. To me, the cost difference in cost between my favorite burger (at Texas Roadhouse) and my least favorite (A comparably sized burger at McDonald's) is about 5 bucks.

Even if I chose a burger for a meal twice on a 7 day, that's 10 bucks. Is there something special about the atmosphere?

    OMG they are the best!!!:D

  2. Today, Delta Airlines is down worldwide due to computer problems. We never fly in to port city on embarkation day, just because things like this happen and you have no control over it. Do any of you spin the wheel and fly in on embarkation day?

NEVER, just because of what you said.

  3. Is this true industry-wide, or is it just true for Carnival? And if so, how much would the quality have to suffer before people would stop cruising as a result of poor experiences/value?

I would disagree that the food quality has declined. I think in most aspects, it has improved with many more choices than when I first cruised. Then again I enjoy the food much more if I am not preparing it :D

  4. Thanks for coming back and letting us know. Did you call NCL and ask where it is, because 7 weeks does sound like an awfully long time.

    Hi,

I did call a few weeks ago, they said 4-6 weeks. Just disappointed. He was trying to do a nice thing. Lesson learned:eek:

  5. Okay, I was wrong. Hubby got me a refundable OBC. There was nowhere that it said it would be 6 weeks to receive unused OBC. On Carnival they cut you a check for any unused OBC. It is 7 weeks tomorrow no refund. He got me this as a surprise. Had a pedicure but that's all, also could not use it in the Casino. Just trying to give a heads up :(

  6. Though I had a fabulous NCL cruise, beware if you or someone purchases you a gift card. My hubby got me $300 gift card for my cruise, only used $100 of it, 6 weeks later still no refund :(

  7. My sister and I are scattering our moms ashes at sea on our upcoming cruise and we are wondering if the paper work that is listed on the FAQs to bring is strictly checked. We have an original copy of her death certificate but not sure we can get the paperwork from the funeral home. To be honest, that entire month is such a blur, neither of us even remembers the name of the place right now.

No worries. Did my Mom & Dad on the Sunshine last year, all that was required was a biodegrade-able vessel. Carnival was so amazing. Received a letter from the Captain with the coordinates. They were also highly respectful to what we wanted.

  8. Maybe it's just me, but this seems to be more than just maintenence, now i saw another thread that they cancelled the stop on the 5/21 trip too[/quote

I am also on the 5/21/16 Cruise. Just got an email that it has been cancelled. Don't think I will ever get there. This is 4th time scheduled to stop there that it has been cancelled .

    Here is the email:

Met people who were on the Gem this week, and they were al

so cancelled. we were on the Sky made it to GSC. Sorry :(

  9. We enjoyed the Sky in December. Don't be put off by those who denigrate the UBP. I have sailed three cruises on NCL in the past year and just booked another yesterday. I have seen no problems; but actually more people participate in the common areas which is a good thing IMHO.

The Sky was the best of the Bahama runs which include Carnival and Royal.

Thanks. just looking to recharge m batteries :)
