Flying in Fort Lauderdale Sunday afternoon, staying at a friend's house, cruising out of Miami Mon. Which is the best car rental company and can we drop car at the Port of Miami?
Thanks for any suggestion:)

I did see a similar situation. Not the proper documentation, denied boarding
Have you (or seen someone) not allowed to embark in port due to it being a minor without a parents consent? Situation- parents divorced two kids aged 14 & 17. 17 year old got passport at age 16 with mom going with her to get it. The ex is behind on his child support so HE can not get a passport so will not give consent for passport application nor sign a notarized letter to allow the 14 & 17 year old to travel.Mom wants to book now due to saving money on cruise with the sales going on while trying to get 14 year old passport and going to court to get consent to travel. But I advised against it until she has all documentation in hand so she doesn't lose all her money if they turn the family away when they go to board.
So, has anyone ever been or seen a family not allowed to travel due to proper documentation? She has had a name change and plans on bringing divorcee decree (nothing in it regarding travel restrictions), BC and name change paperwork. They live in NC if that helps any and will be sailing out of SC. I know they are not little and are teens that can speak up for themselves as to why not having proper documentation (vs a toddler that can't speak for themselves) but I am just very hesitant she will not be able to board and loose all that money!!

Going to be on the Ecstasy 4/914 1:30-10pm. What is there to do? Too short for beach? Any suggestions.
Thanks

Great review. Going in 2015 on the 8 day cruise.....counting down;)
-
Save the money, not worth it.
[
quote=DSJ28;40820438]Is there a penalty for canceling a cabana rental on HMC? I leave on a 5 day aboard the Fascination tomorrow, and I'm considering canceling if there is no cost to do so.

Dirt Bags  want something for nothing. One time had truly poor service in the dining room, stopped going to MDR and transferred the $$ to our room steward. Only 1 time in 14 cruises!!
So I was reading A thread on here someone complaining about her neighbors and she said when she was in line at guest services 20 people in front of her were canceling there pre paid gratuities .. I m new to cruising Why would people do this ? When we went We had excellent service and provided an extra tip at the end 11.50 a day is hardly enough for all the staff it extends too ? I Have seen this mentioned before as well Do they wait to see if service is up to standard ??? Im just curious  -

If I have the Cheers program and want to buy a bucket of beers they are 20% off and do not count toward the 15 drink limit. Right?
Correct, but if you get the right server they will get you a bucket of beer, they then swipe your card every 5-10 min. Did this for us on the Breeze :)
-
Used cheers on our Breeze cruise and I had no problem getting a drink for my hubby & me or vice versa at the bars, just needed the 2 cards. The service was awesome, we tipped a dollar here and there. It was great !!

We saw dogs and cats while we were there. Not a nuisance at all, one dog swam with us and followed us on the beach, he was adorable:D. Saw some cats at Margaritaville we shared our lunch with them, the waiter said the staff looks out for them. Glad to know that we can make a donation when we visit next month.

Thanks for the review, can't wait to hear more about it:D
-
Great review and pictures, thank you for taking the time to do all of this. January 13th can't come quick enough :D
-
We never say never :p
-
Love Love the review, waiting for more:p
-
Thanks for starting this thread. I can't wait to read more about the Breeze, my cruise can't come soon enough :D After all the menus off to the gym
-
Local Bar over Jack's, we went there and Jack himself was there and well was a jerk , walked to the Local Bar and they were very friendly and food and drinks were very reasonable. There was a guy there offering tours $10 per person we didn't do it but another couple did said it was ok. We sat and drank beers and enjoyed the view.:) . Going there on the Breeze in January the Local Bar will get all my $$$$$.

I have been on three cruises so far and I always bought the travel insurance. It was anywhere between 140(for DH and I, 7 day long cruise)~ 200 range. (They charge certain percentage of the total cruise cost).
We are in our early 30's, very healthy and eat healthy, we are like the work out 6 times a week type people. Both DH and I never had any issues with our health, maybe catch cold once a year??
But I still bought the travel insurance just in case something goes wrong and if we get hurt, it can cost a lot.
The sum of insurance cost added up to more than 500 for just last 3 cruises...and I am starting to wonder if I should skip this time.
I wanted to hear from all of you what you do with travel insurances, if you all get it or not..... If you think it is worth it....
Please share your thoughts with me! Many thanks in advance for your replies!
We always do insurance. I am a nurse and take care of healthly people everyday who have gallbladder, appendix or kidney stone issues, many who were going or have been on vacation. Insurance well worth it when you need it.

Went to Jack's Shack and the Local Bar (which was the best) cheap drinks and food, there was a guy there offering island tours for $10 a person, didn't do it but some other people did said it was ok it is just past Margaritaville. The drinks and food are MV are very expensive!! Not much else to do unless you do an excursion.

Lola, don't be sad. Be happy for the folks who are lucky to have a beautiful and amazing canine hero in their lives. I'm one of them and I'm proud of it.
When you see someone walking or wheeling with a Working Dog, smile and enjoy watching the "dance" that they do together as a team....it's remarkable; it's purity of heart and soul.
Thanks for reading and opening-up yourselves to listen.
I am sad for people who are so judgemental. I am very happy for the people who have amazing canines, I have 2 loyal labs that give me the most joy. I wish people would MYOB :)
-
Wow, I am very sad after reading this thread. I guess, whose business is it that someone needs a service dog for WHAT ever reason. Who are we to judge?? I try never to guess what someone may need. SAD :(
