My wife and I were married in St. Thomas on a cruise back in 2007. It was also the second marriage for both of us. Since St. Thomas is a U.S. territory. we did not need anything special. We had to fill out our marriage license and send it along with the $200. fee to the courts in St. Thomas. We had already arranged to be married by a minister. We went to a private beach and were married barefoot in the sand. Our best friends stood with us and that was it. Best of luck whatever you decide.

Can anyone tell me about deck 10- D7 category? We are booked in room 10698. I assume that is deck 10. We have never cruised on RC so, I have no idea the pros or cons of this room. Thanks in advance.
We have stayed in 10728, also a D7 on deck 10. Our room was the last one aft. down the hall next to the aqua suites. Your room is located half way down the hall from the elevators, towards the aft, starboard side. Not as much foot traffic and very quiet. We always book aft rooms, one for the exercise and two, I guess that allows us to eat more. :D

Kris .. those are both lovely!!!! and sexy!!!!
Love the Theme here!!!!
I think we are gonna 'ROCK the BOAT' !!! Wear this dresses ladies... and if no meet and greet we should organize a meet at one of the lounges one evening!!!!
Cheers!!
Bev
Sorry Bev, but I am "rock the boat" :D As far as dresses go, I love seeing my wife all dressed up and she is 5' 2". The dresses you picked out are fine. What one persons opinion is, is not necessarily right or wrong. It's how you feel in it and what your hubby thinks. My wife often ask me how she looks in something and I tell her the truth no matter how good it looks on a model.

Starts out with a rep or two from Royal, they give out raffle prizes, beside that just an informal chat, no sales pitches.
Someone from your roll call usually acts as a go between and also sometimes sets up a voluntary gift exchange.
Royal usually has a setup of coffee, tea, flavored water and some mini pastries.
You get to put a face with those you have chatted with on your roll call
On our Oasis cruise, we had about 45 for our meet & mingle. Each person was asked to bring something from their hometown, not to exceed $10. It was completely voluntary, you did not have to participate. But it was so much fun seeing what people bring from different parts of the world. We had such a blast that I would do it again in an instant.

Do not disturb. Sorry, but I have a theme going on here.

Did the dolphin swim twice. First time it was a group of 6, which I thought was a blast. The second time we booked directly with the park. So we took a taxi and arrived early figuring we would spend some additional time at the park before our swim. Well to our surprise, we were greeted by someone from the park who asked what we were there for and told them the dolphin swim, but we weren't scheduled for another hour. We were asked if we wanted to go earlier and said yes. Well our group consisted of my wife and I, that it. So they gave us the whole time slot for a regular group without cutting it short. 45 minutes, WOW. :D So as far as the video, we purchased it since it was only us.

Might just be Lucky. But in 13 cruises, I never lost at Blackjack. Best cruise was on the Oasis +$1500 for the week. I usually average about $800 for the week.

I've posted this on a couple other threads. I know you said that you would like to use cash, but avoid using your debit card. The cruise line will hold twice what your charges are and your cash is usually frozen for 30 days. When I used cash in the past, they would issue you a check if you have any balance left at the end of the cruise. That was 8 years ago , so I'm not sure if they still do that or not. Hope this helps.

Congrats on your first cruise. As others have said, it becomes addicting once you go on your first one. Here is a bit of advice. I recommend that you use a credit card when filling out your sail and sign info. If you use a debit card, the cruise line puts a hold on double what your room charges are. It tends to throw your checking account out of balance until they release the funds which can be as much as 30 days.

Hi, Thanks for posting this, I have cabin 1690 booked on Voyager of the Seas in January and from this photo the balcony looks to be wider than 1692. Can anyone confirm this?
Yes, you are correct. 1690 is larger than 1692. We love these cabins. We are currently booked in 9392 on the Explorer for our next cruise.

Since this is your first cruise, there is one other thing you should know regarding charges to your room. Make sure you use a credit card for your charges, not a debit card. The cruise line will put a hold on your account for double the amount of your charges using a debit card.

Another option would be to get married on the island of St. Thomas if this is on your itinerary. Since St. Thomas is a U.S. territory, its very easy to do without any headaches. We were married on the island at Linbergh Bay by a minister from the island. When we returned to the ship that evening we had our own party with about two dozen new friends we met through cruise critic.

Seen him back in February. Same story. Told him that I only carry plastic. I'm surprised that he didn't have a credit card swipe. :D

When I first called about the residency discount yesterday, the agent had to put me on hold and then explained that the new system won't just let him add the discount. He had to re-do everything from scratch so I would not loose my C&A discount. When I did our friends who are traveling with us, he had no problem with theirs since they are not C&A members. But as others have said, the residency rate is just that. Anything after that as far as discounts are applied accordingly.
-
If you go on rccl website and do a mock booking, when you click on view summary of charges, it will show the discount if it applies.
-
Just got off the phone with RCCL about the current residency rate for PA. There was no problem with combining my C&A discount with the residency discount. Saved $162. P.P. plus the additional savings on the cruise vacation protection plan. It reduced my cruise by a total of $384.

Hi everyone!!!!!!!! :) You can count us in for RTR reunion cruise. We had such a blast on the Oasis and enjoyed everyone we met. We are currently looking for a 2014 cruise for May or Sept.

I love the shirted tankini type!!! After my son was born (11 years ago:eek:) It was so much easier to take him as a baby in the pool, because when climbing out with a baby, I didn't have to worry about "the exit weggie" and exposing myself to all the family. But even on my cruises, I find a shirted tankini is more restroom friendly, and I feel less self conscience (sp?) when grabbing lunch after a dip. Newport News has a bunch of build your own pieces that are not "old looking"

If any of you ladies have any NON-formal dresses I'm more than willing to give them a good home. I wear a size 10/12 depending on the dress, and I'm 5'3" so on the petite side. I'm 30, not that age matters, but just to give you an idea. I've got enough dressy dresses but very little in the way of casual sundresses, semi-nice work/resort wear dresses, etc.
I have lost 35 lbs with 15 more to go so I'm not ready to go on a shopping spree just yet.
I will check my closet. Believe it or not, You an I have the same build LOL I'm also 10/12 and 5'4" But I'm 32.. I just grasped the concept that I am officially "in my 30's" HAHAHA! I think that is hust too funny, But I might have something, maybe we can do some swapping?:) Isn't CC just the greatest!!!

Thank you Amy! I got the dress yesterday, and it fits really well!!! :D
Happy Cruising!!!

I'd love to have the outfit if it's available. If it doesn't fit Mom, I'll relist it here for sure.
My email is mungus515@aol.com. Send me your address and I'll get that sent out to you. It really is a pretty set, it was a friend of mine's and she was gonna get rid of it, and I told her I'm sure I could find a happy home for it. I hope she enjoys it.

Veterans OBC

First and foremost. Thanks to all our veterans around the world.
I recently booked a cruise for retired military friends of ours. I'm not a travel agent. The other day the were showing OBC for our upcoming cruise. I called and had no problem with them adding it to his military discount. I use to have a good travel agent, however she moved up the ranks in the company and no longer does bookings and I have been doing them ever since.
