Hi Luckiepuris,
You can book salt grill any time from the time you get on. When we booked on the boarding day before leaving port for a dinner a week later it was fine, there were several people doing the same and you will recieve a reservation reminder the night before.

G'day,
It still happens at least on the Peal as was noted in december with cupboards in the internet area (near the Marqee) filled with knitting kits and later on the cruise people carrying the kits around.
I would assume the practice would still apply to Jewel.

PS,
Just checked the daily schedule for the cruise and "born to knit" was on the first sea day at 2.30pm.

Just got off Pacific Pearl and as others have mentioned, $50 cover charge but if you want oysters they are an extra $2 each and lobsters an extra $22 each. Pricey and I wasn't a fan of the food - Too salty (yes I know its called "Salt Grill" but was too strong for my taste).

G'day all,
As an update to the above situation, Thanks to a helpful online chat representative from P&O, it seems to have been solved (fingers crossed).
Still curious if anyone knows if the above situation is even possible.

Hi,
I am a bit confused, After selecting a guanteed oceanview cabin on Pacific pearl (for a whole $96 difference from Selected cabin), The class is OG on deck 8....fine, problem is there is a note in the "Cabin document notes" that "Twin Beds Do Not Convert to Queen".
How is that possible when according to the deck plan for Pacific Pearl in the latest P&O cruise manual the only non-convertable cabins on deck 8 are inside cabins of IZ+ grade (ie 8126A, 8128A,8130A ...8142A)
Can someone confirm that an oceanview cabin on deck 8 (Of which 8158-8185 are the only OG class cabins) can't have the beds made into queens?
Thanks

Hi Windsor26,
As mentioned earlier, Auckland Nines is a short game form of rugby league. Heres some info I dug up here:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NRL_Auckland_Nines
http://nrlaucklandnines.com/
It is like a trial for the National Rugby League here in Oz.
