  1. Choice air is the best for one way when you go on a TA.

To book one way with a US airline is so expensive.

But you can maybe go cheaper if you go Air Berlin to Dusseldorf Germany spend a night in hotel.

The next day take the train to Hoek of Holland in the Netherlands and the night boot to Harwich.

The night boot arrive in Harwich early in the morning the terminal is the same place as where the TA leaves.

But you need to leave here 2 days before your TA. But a nice trip that way.

  2. There is nothing wrong with inside cabins.

They are the greatest when cruising with everyday a port.

Been sailing for 60 years and what did the balcony snobs did years ago?

Most ships did not have balconies.

I feel the cruise lines should go back to 1st class and tourist class then you don't have to put up with cruise snobs.

Just in case you wonder, yes I have been in all the type of cabins but love the inside the best.

By the way on the TA ,Alaska. North Europe and the East coast of US the balcony are usually to cold to have your breakfast.

  3. I just returned from a 4 day CCL out of Long Beach.

Was tired off flying and waiting for RCL to get back to California.

I am very happy how great the crew was and the food.......

When was the last time on RCL ,you had lobster, snails, fried calamari,

frog legs all in a 4 day cruise.

I am still with RCL booked for April 1 Panama from San Diego

and Oct 2015 snow bird migration cruise on the Serenade from Quebec City.

But I am sure will go often now on those 4days no flying.

  4. Since RCL left us, I have been on many 4 days with Carnival and enjoyed the food and the crew.

I am tired of flying to Europe or Florida to take Rcl.

Yes, I still have 2 cruises booked but other lines are now also on my book.

But I am also very senior so all the fancy stuff on the new ships are not for me to enjoy.
