  1. Then they need to be more specific with their promo wording ;-) i don't actually care if I get prints or just digital. What potentially irritates me, is that when I booked the UBD, it said a photo was included -- and current wording omits that perk. The receipt doesn't even say what I paid for, let alone what was included. So I better be able to at least get digitals or 1 print from that. We also booked a vow renewal, so I'm expecting those too -- that's part of the reason I bought the package. The description flat out says "all the prints and digitals from your cruise" ---no exceptions or exclusions listed. I grabbed a screenshot of it this time. I don't like misleading advertising.

We had purchased the package, when the time came for vow renewal they sent a photographer & videographer prior to the ceremony. They took us around the ship and took about 150 photos and video.

Two days later came the up-sell. None of the photos were included in the photo package, just the one framed print that was included in the renewal package. The video was beautiful, but very expensive. Prices started at $599 for the video. Had we known this we would have declined the video being filmed rather than having them waste the resources.

  2. "The Ocean Medallion "Class" is misnamed from what I've read. EVERYONE gets the medallion. It isn't reserved for the few who will pay more money."

I think this is correct. They have to change the lock mechanism on each door to work with the medallions, so I think everyone will get them.

I am, however, curious to see if they're color coded by status.

Disney has been using similar technology for several years and it's great. They should even be able to scan your medallion when taking photos so you can view them on a screen instead of searching through thousands of prints.

The RFID signal isn't strong enough to track your every move onboard the ship, and your purchases are already captured by using your cruise card, so it's not that different, just wearable technology.

  3. We've been pretty lucky, except for the guy from England last month who proclaimed that God doesn't exist (my rule is no politics or religion) and then described at length how to poison cats. Another couple immediately left the table, then came back after we found out the offensive one had asked for a different table assignment. (His wife was very nice and obviously embarrassed) This was on about day 6 of a 20 day b2b cruise....

  4. We just got home from a b2b on the Royal, booked as one cruise. We had to clear Customs at Port Everglades on changeover day, so we walked a few blocks to a Dollar Tree and a Winn Dixie on 17th to pick up a few things. We were able to re board through the crew entrance instead of waiting through the line.

Our leftover free internet minutes carried over until gone then the new minutes showed up.

  5. We've successfully used our cell service and FaceTime while in St Thomas. We've been told it will work in any U.S. Territory. That includes Puerto Rico, Guam, Northern Mariana Islands, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and American Samoa. Planning to FaceTime our granddaughter from St Thomas to wish her a happy 5th birthday.
