16 til Indy:cool:
-
Will follow this, we get on Indy as you get off:):(

no quads available on our cruise (we booked last min) so its a boys & girls room. my kids are 13 (DS) & 10 (DD) one parent in each.
ajoining cabins would be acceptable at say 16, but will reserve judgement until I see what mine are like at that age.;)

The pricing for my 7nt on Indy on 28th is now (yesterday in brackets)
Select £28.74 (28.99)
Premium £38.73 (38.99)
Ultimate £43.78 (44.65)

Gosh, you are right ! they dont. So its bar service only for soda?
kids will need their own soda package
-
Sailing on Indy in a few weeks, wife and I have drinks package, which I assume includes a souveneir cup for use in the freestyle machines.
we wont use these but our kids might.
Question is how do they work?, do you need to swipe your sea pass or do the cups contain RFID like at disney.

Hi
we are on the same cruise (albeit it will be out second week when you join)
we have cruised with our kids since they where 3 and 1 and used the night nursery regularly, that said there where lots of people with toddlers in pushchairs at night, and it was not a problem.
I would talk to the kids director on board, who will put your mind at rest over the night nursery, even if you only got a couple of hours 'together time' before being paged its better than none. The sea air does wonders for kids, mine used to struggle to stay awake past 6:30!
We have all been there and bought the t shirt.
Enjoy your honeymoon

I would recommend Three 'Feel at Home' - I think you are going to Norway, which is included in this package - costs £15 PAYG and gives you 300min talk (back to the UK) unlimited txts I think and 25gb data.
as previously stated any phone will connect to the marine network when out of range of a land base station
but when in port there is no other package that comes close to this for value
I am using this package in the med later this week and have previously used it in the US.

Allocated today, and upgraded too:D
From inside PB to Larger Outside KB:eek:
very pleased with the Upgrade Fairy:D
-
FO not really for anyone who does not remember the war;)
-
thanks for replies, we booked 5 cabins on 'late savers' and have had 4 cabins confirmed.
will call them in a couple of days if still nothing on the last one:)
-
 did you get an upgrade or as booked?
-
Sailing on Oceana on 22nd July - booked 5 cabins and have had 4 allocated (all as booked, no upgrades)
still waiting on the 5th cabin!
cutting it fine,
will take a sleeping bag just in case ;)
anyone had a cabin confirmed on boarding?

We are going from Newcastle to Genoa in 3wks and a bit and fly with Titan Airways - never heard of them but look ok after googling them
-
Had no problem with this before.
had to make sure that the grandparents were registered with the kids clubs for signing in and out the children (its on the forms you fill in when registering in the clubs for the first time)
-
Fingers crossed for a happy outcome to this thread

Great review - we have had 3 great cruises on Ventura
out of school hols, you wont find many school age children (especially now with fines and 100% attendence scrutinised) in the school hols the same cruise on ventura could have 600+ under 18s on.
if you try a fly cruise - these tend to attract less elderly and infirm (not that I have any issues with this) just an observation.
-
why would you pay for anything twice if it was already covered:confused:
if its not covered, I would pay as its not a life changing sum. £40 is £40 though:)
just seeking some guidance from my cruising peers
-
Thanks for the responses
The cost of booking seats together is £10pp each way - not huge. £40 in total
CAA policy - but not law is to seat children with at least 1 adult on booking - in case of illness or misbehaviour or if there was an incident and the plane had to be evacuated, parents and children would seek each other out, and slow down any evacuation.
P&O i think have not stated a policy on this as they want to get people to pay to book seats
I dont want to have to pay if they would have seated us together anyway.
there are only 2 of us on our booking
if I go through the seat booking on P&O it tells me I have to book the adult sitting next to child (u16) - so it looks like there is a policy, just not made clear online or in brochure.
-
do P&O sit children next to at least one parent on the Oceana Fly Cruises? - reluctant to pay for seats.
does not mention it anywhere until you go into flightbooker where it tells you you have to seat the child next to at least one adult.
looks to me like they just want the extra cash
I am sure I read somewhere that they had to do this, but could be wrong
-
we are going on Oceana as a party of 10 on linked bookings - my first trip will be to see the restaurant manager as our dining has not been confirmed, large tables 10's always harder to fill in my experience.
-
its not just couples - we as a family of 4 got a call with an upgrade to family suite on Azura - cost £400
worth it for the breakfast in XVII alone (well nearly)
we booked almost last minute and through Thomas Cook, originally booked a deluxe balcony guarrantee - go figur:confused:e
