  1. We were on the Liberty with you. My kids are 3 and 7 and had a blast! Our room had leftover items from previous guests too. We loved the ship! Windjammer was meh but we found a couple of things we really liked. We ate there once for breakfast, twice for lunch (way too crowded) and twice for dinner. People were SO nice to us! (Fellow passengers and crew). They went above and beyond to make the kiddos feel special. MDR was great. Splashaway bay was great except for closing at 6:00 [emoji13] Can't wait til our next trip.

I should add that my mom got very sick on day 6. She was dry heaving, diarrhea, and coughing. She had chills and fever in the 102's. We had to wheel her down to be seen after hours. The infirmary diagnosed her with upper resp infection. It was clearly gastric and viral. She couldn't eat or keep anything down. I'm afraid they didn't want to go through the process of sanitizing the whole ship since we were near the end of our trip [emoji51]

  2. In my opinion, RCL is the way to go! We are on Liberty of the Seas right now. We sailed the Carnival Dream last November. The only pro I can find with Carnival is that they have self service laundry rooms. This trip confirmed for us no more Carnival. The people on this ship are so much nicer, better food and drinks, rooms, more to do...

  3. there are some quiet cabins too. what are you above?

the lounges-- have speakers in the ceiling-- the piano bar goes until 2am in the morning.

the jazz club is the smoking lounge where you can smoke cigars and pipes

if your cabin is along the promanade starboard side--(right side) you are good. until you get to the area around the casino bar - there is a band that sets up around 9pm and goes until the wee hours-- and let me tell you this area is VERY loud.

Above the casino you are fine

but further in to the casino area away from that bar. A few cabins can and will make a huge difference

Being around the area of the fun shops should be fine. Avoid being above the show lounge too

Thanks so much for the info!! We are 6257, so starboard side and it looks like we will be over the back part of the encore lounge
