I can handle that. Hopefully they have a life vest for the Labadee boat tour.
We bring life vests for our young kids. They use them in the pool and in the ocean. Works out well for us. Despite them having swim lessons it makes us more comfortable

They cancelled some people on our 4/14 cruise as well. They actually cancelled the more expensive one that included access to the casino.

We have 4 kids. I don't feel a need for a balcony. We've had one and it's not essential for us as we are only in the room to sleep. We get 2 connecting oceanview rooms. We put the kids in 1 and we keep the other.

I'm glad you asked this. I was thinking of getting it too. We have 4 kids so we have to get 2 connecting staterooms. I'm not willing to buy 2 photo packages though.

that usually means they are sold out.

We left the kids 3 years ago with Grandparents. Kids were 13, 10, 6, and 4. We called from each port (4 ports) to say hi and check in. They were fine. Kids had never stayed without us prior. Grandma lives in FL while we are in CT. It was a fun adventure for them. (and us!)

During the love and marriage game show a couple admitted to having relations in the pool the night before to everyone. This was on Freedom July 2015.

yup. for 2 days straight.

wondering too!

You can use windjammer whenever you want. no reservations needed. It's a buffet. You need reservations for the main dining room for dinner. You don't have to eat in the MDR though.
I don't know about wine- we don't drink.

Thank you! We watched several youtube videos about the boat and we didn't see them on any and they got a little worried! HA!

Hi all-
Prepping for our first time on Anthem- my kids loved the ice cream machines by the pools on Freedom. My kids are asking if there are ice cream machines on Anthem and if so, where are they?
Thanks!

2 years ago we were on the Freedom while 2 charter groups of girls from Brazil celebrated their Quincanera. A couple hundred of them. There were multiple times that venues were closed for just them to use - including the entire pool one night, forcing tons of kids into the Solarium. I was not happy. I left 4 kids home for our one and only non kid vacation. They were always in huge crowds, like dance lines down the Promenade to the point that you could not walk. It was a huge headache.

Mine shows no availability for cabanas in CocoCay, as well, but I've heard of others having success on board. I've seen you active in the Roll Call, so if I happen to see shows and activities open up before you, I'll be sure to post it there! It's giving me anxiety not having everything booked this close to sailing, but it's going to be an awesome trip! See you onboard! :)
I called and they told me 60-90 days out the stuff would be available. However, all cabanas and beach bungalows in coco cay are sold out she said. ugh. with 4 kids I really needed one. See you onboard!

I'm on the April 14th Anthem cruise and many things are still not available -- not to worry! I've been able to book dining, but still checking daily for iFly, NorthStar, and shows! Glad it's not just me!
Good to know. I'm on the 14th too and wondering when we will get to book. I know the cruise is sold out and at capacity so I am sure things will be hard to get. I've finally got dining all set but my kids will freak if I don't get those activities. I also can't seem to get a cabana in coco cay.

I'm headed on the Anthem in April- when will ifly and other activities become available to book? Anyone know? thanks!

Do you know which entrees I have to pay for in the main dining room?
-
I thought I read somewhere that on the Anthem there was some differences with food. When I was on Freedom, I was able to order multiple lobster tails and it was all covered as part of my main dining room meal. Will I have to pay for lobster tails on the Anthem? or pay for extra ones? What else would I need to pay for?
Thanks!

We've gone to Nellie's beach both times we were in labadee and loved it- we did not find it crowded and it was small and nice to swim in.

we bought life vests for our 5 and 7 yr olds to use on the boat and excursions next week. we are bringing our own for safety

yes! cruise compasses please! we leave next sunday!!! trying tonplan this week!

My son survived Sandy Hook. Bad stuff can happen anytime and anywhere. Don't let fear grip you. Life is too short. He's going on his first cruise in a little over a week.

Yes, it's aggressive. I won't be taking my kids back there in 2 weeks. Also, if you Dunns River Falls, after you exit, you go through a similar market with just as aggressive locals selling stuff. My husband, being black, was hounded and insulted in both places, that he was "treating them worse than the white man", since he wasn't interested in buying anything. They really laid into him in Jamaica walking through there. Interestingly, my husband's mother was born and raised in Jamaica.
Are kids free on excursions?

Yes. I know. However I prefer our own. I know where they have been, I know they haven’t been peed or puked on, I know they fit correctly, and that I’m guaranteed to have one. So, we choose to bring our own.
