  1. Check to make sure there are no foreign transaction fees on the card you use. I used the Costco Visa and it worked as a chip card, for some reason the tap function didn't work.
  2. Ours were shipped 26 March for April 14 sailing.
  3. I carry an iPhone but leave the cell functions turned off when on board. I like having access to the ship information from things like Princess at Sea and the ability to take pictures and video. I have seen people on board using iPads the same way.
  4. We were in a suite on the Royal in July and it showed anytime dining. They had our names or room number at Club Class and there were no problems. We booked a CC mini suite for next year and it shows Club Class. They aren't very consistent on their website but there were no problems on the ship.
  5. We had a suite on the Royal on a recent British Isles cruise. Our steward told us that there was a $10.00 charge per bag after the first one. This turned out not to be true. I guess it's possible he was trying to discourage our use of laundry because it was more work for him.
  6. Stayed in a Suite on the Royal. No USB outlets anywhere; no place to plug in chargers by the bed; no phone by the bed - not too impressive for the latest and greatest.
  7. We did an upsell to a suite and changed from traditional to 'anytime' and the dining choice showed 'club class'. Went back a few days later and it shows 'anytime'. It would be nice if there was more consistency in their website.
