  1. I have been reading on the boards that you don't get your room assignment on guaranteed rooms until a little before your sailing. I booked back in February and I had my room assignment at that time. It is on the original booking and is on my booking on their website. Is this not normal? We are not sailing until December.

  2. My kids read some of the post on here before our cruise to the Bahama's last month and they were not as anxious to go. Let me just say they LOVED IT!!!! They are trying to get us to take them on our cruise in December but alas they can not go. It is our 25th Anniversary and taking the kids along just doesn't seem like something we want to do. LOL

  3. First off let me say I am by no means a long time cruiser. I have sailed twice in the last year and will be sailing again in December. Plus I have only sailed NCL because we personally like the freestyle dining.

All the negative talk about NCL lately doesn't persuade me to cancel or bad mouth the new president. He is only doing what he thinks is best for the company he is running. It is no different than you boss doing the same thing. Some people will like it some will not. That it what makes the world go round.

The changes have not been bad in my opinion. So I get charged for room service to be delivered. Not an earth shattering thing. I can choice to use it or not. That is my choice. It by no means makes me want to cancel or belly ache about it. Yes they have raised the daily service charge. I think a lot of the cruise employees deserve more than that. Some do go above and beyond. Just like your local Walmart or Sears employee, some are willing to help and some are not. Every industry has that. All of the employees are away from their families trying to make a living. How many in this country are not even trying to that but living off my tax dollars? I say give them a raise. Speaking from experience of having my husband gone 7-14 days at a time, he never got paid enough but you deal with it and go on. Thank god he got a different job that allows him to be home every night now. The recent canceling of cruise seems to be typical of the industry. Just browse around on other cruise line boards and you see people complaining about the same thing. At least NCL is giving enough notice so you can choose to rebook or find another cruise line.

Just thought I would put my 2 cents worth in. Maybe someday we will try another cruise line but for now we are happy with NCL.
