  1. We were booked on the Oct. 1st sailing- final payment would have been due on Aug. 2nd.
  2. We went ahead and booked... flights were cheap, so we won't be out much. We're on the Celebrity Reflection in December, but the Serenity price was too good to pass up.
  3. I'm very interested in the cruise line/itinerary... and pricing is comparable to other lines we sail- which will probably never happen again. We live a few hours from Miami, and the flight back from San Juan is short. Who is booked, and what do you think the likelihood of the ship sailing? We've had four cruises canceled already... and have three more booked this year, but I'd be canceling one of those for this cruise. $3,800 for a basic veranda stateroom is hard to pass up...
  4. Considering a Spa Balcony on the Magic- deck 12... is the balcony covered? Also, I've found one picture and it appears the front is open a bit- wondering about privacy & wind issues. I'm aware this cabin shares a wall with the gym, but I don't believe that will be an issue for us. Any pictures or information will be greatly appreciated!
  5. NancyIL, we loved the Empress- hope you do too!
  6. No, Our 4/11 cruise was canceled- so we were considering a cruise to Bermuda in July/August w/ Celebrity or RC. Agree about May too, I'm waiting to receive an email that our 5/16 cruise is canceled :( We've decided to keep it easy and leave from Florida instead- 8 night Eastern Caribbean on the Equinox.
  7. Hope I didn't offend you, that wasn't my intention. Sounds like it will be similar to Sea Tac- TY for responding.
  8. Our April cruise was canceled last night, so we've narrowed it down to 3 Bermuda itineraries leaving from Bayonne.... this will be our first time flying into Newark and leaving from Bayonne. The flight from Florida will take just under 3 hours, landing before 9am- and we plan on taking the cruise line transfer to the port. I see no issues, but my husband says Newark is a zoo. For those familiar w/ the airport/area/port, is this feasible? We always fly into San Juan the afternoon of our cruises w/ no issues- but my husband has me worried about Newark.
  9. Thank you for your time, Pete. Looking through my October cruise pictures, I'm pretty sure the aft large windows are the MDR (La Pergola), not cabins- we enjoyed dining by those windows! I could be wrong though. Thank you for responding, shipgeeks.
  10. Pete, I was advised you may be able to assist me- I'm trying to confirm which OV cabins have the large windows... from my research, it appears deck 7 forward (7005--> 7039 &7008-->7052)
  11. We were recently forced into trying an OV (last minute booking w/ no balconies or suites available), and as my husband likes to put it- I didn't die! So, we plan on booking OV's here and there now. I already have the Aurea 2 room OV booked for the repo cruise, but it's been brought to my attention there may be a few OV's w/ large windows. I've done some research, but I'm not finding a lot of information. I figure these will be great for the short runs from Tampa! Guessing from my pictures and the little information I did find, I believe the Large Window OV's are located on deck 7 forward (7005 --> 7039 & 7008 --> 7052). Who has been in a Large Window OV cabin? Any information would be greatly appreciated!
  12. Lifeboat placement on a lot of ships drives me CRAZY! We prefer to be all the way forward or all the way aft, but we are not the norm! I personally would go w/ the sweet 16 as we enjoy looking straight down to the water, not a lifeboat or public walkway. Whatever you decide, enjoy!
  13. No charge for Aurea folks- pricing is for everyone else.
  14. We had an Aurea Suite forward on deck 10, great location and we loved all the storage! Yes, the Top 13 attendant either got our dinks personally, or sent down our order. S&T is the only specialty restaurant on the ship, so that would be your only choice.
