We sailed out of Galveston on April 23 on the Vista. We arrived at 1:10 ( our arrival time of 1:00 to 1:30). We were lined up half way down the terminal waiting to get inside the building, which took at least 30 minutes. Then the cattle lines once inside the building. Diamonds had a priority line once on the second floor of terminal for check-in. Once on board went straight to Pig & Anchor Bar-B-Que and they were already closed. We usually sign up for the earliest boarding time, which we will do again next time out of Galveston.

We were on the Vista in February and it was the first night for the Hot Shots, which played 4 or 5 nights in the Ocean Plaza. Thought they were quite good. The bank took requests and tried to play most anything requested. You could find something to dance to.

On the Valor last December they just gave us $25.00 each. On the Vista in January and February were given $25 free play on ship card. So It is probably up to the ship.

Just checked into Galveston. Had to show all documents. I told her we completed VeriFLY and apparently trial process not in process yet. She could care less. Complete waste of time.

We just received a notification from Carnival that Test results must include Laboratory/medical testing site and that handwritten results will not be accepted.
We go for our test tomorrow and leave on cruise Saturday.

Our covid vaccination card is handwritten. Will this be accepted?
Our covid test results is on a form with the name of the pharmacy, but they fill the results out by hand - will this be accepted?
Thanks.

We cruised in December out of Galveston with a single J & J vaccination No problem.

We are going out of Galveston, however, last month when we cruised our of New Orleans, we were stuck in road construction traffic for over an hour, and I was hesitant to schedule the earlier time.
Thanks.

Does anyone know what happens if you have an arrival time between 10:00 and 10:30 and don't make it until 11:00 or so?
Thanks.

What dates are these cruises?
Thanks.

Same thing happened to us. I dropped the cheers package, got moved from deck 9 to Lido and got a $389 OBC

I believe there is two forms you need to fill out. The first health assessment, which needs to be completed no later than about 14 days before sailing. Then a second health assessment with different questions: the same questions you get ask at a doctor's office re traveling outside the US and around anyone with Covid, etc. This should be in in your cruise manage about 3 days before sailing. I got the e-mail this morning and we sail Saturday. It also was in my cruise manager this morning and it wasn't yesterday.

I would like to know also. I understand it will not be issued until the ship sails.

Firefly,
Is this the Health Assessment form?
-
Is there some type of form that needs to be filled out within 3 days of sailing regarding Covid questions required by Carnival?
-
Thanks. That is the address I used.
-
What address did you use to get your shareholder OBC? I applied weeks ago and have heard nothing.

We were sailing on Easter a few years ago and there was a non-denominational service. It wasn't real early, something like 8 or 9 a.m. It was really nice. Many attended.

Carnival just got my final payment today on our May cruise.
-
Thank you.

Can you get non alcoholic drinks on the first night of the cruise out of Galveston when you buy the cheers package? I know you can not have alcoholic drinks until the next day.
-
Would you please tell us what the notice said. I have a cruise scheduled in May, but got no notice.

Thanks Jamman54. I always enjoy your posts. You are so knowledgeable when it comes to any subject on Carnival Cruise Lines.
We are also planning on going to Hawaii also after we reach #50. Would have already been if it had not been for so many cancellations.

Cheers - San Francisco
in Carnival Cruise Lines
Posted
I have only had the cheer's package out of Galveston, Texas and it doesn't start until the 2nd day of the cruise.
We are going out of San Francisco with the cheer's package. My question is does the cheer's free drinks start the first day when you board the ship?
Thanks for any information.
