Our flight arrives in Orlando at 9:46am and we booked transfers through Norwegian to the port...what time should I put for Check in?

You are cutting it really close on timing.  Yikes!

  2. It’s been 9 years since my last trip with Royal.  I am diamond but it seems like there have been some/lots of changes.  We are traveling on the Brilliance.

    1.  Muster procedure- where/when do we go to check in?

    2.  Is there a cost for ordering room service?  Does it matter how much you order?  (I know to tip delivery staff)

    3.  Is there pizza available other than buffet?

    4.  Does the Park Cafe have the roast beef sandwiches?  What are the hours of operations?

    5.  How much are the specialty restaurants?  Can you reserve dining times/places online before our trip?

    6.  Do I need to make show reservations ahead of time?

    7.  Do they still have the “Quest”?
    8.  Is there a ‘Behind the scenes’ tour?  Cost?

    9.  What is the cost for the drink package (alcoholic beverages)?
    10.  Can I use my diamond drink coupons for specialty coffees?

    Thanks!

I don't know what kind of places you normally stay but a razor and loofa in the shower makes it crystal clear to me that the room (at the very least, the shower) wasn't properly cleaned. That is not "a typical start" in places I stay and I don't consider it a typcial start on any cruise line.

I'm not sure exactly how I would handle it, but, I have a feeling nothing less than the hotel manager would be at my room.  As someone else stated, I'd be worried about the sheets and to that end I could see myself stripping the bed and dumping it all in the hallway insisting they get me new bedding.

Prior passenger's personal effects left in the bathroom is 100% unacceptable.

    Agree

I'm sorry but I had to Laugh Out Loud at your crowds on the pier comment.  This is what the Costa Maya pier looked like last month when we visited and there were five ships in port.

I have never seen so many people on the pier.  Crazy!

One time I was flying home from Sarasota visiting my dad. I had come straight to the airport from the beach, and still had on my swimming trunks with nothing on under them. Something similar happened with the body scanner, and they wanted to do a "frisk search"... The guy pulls out a flashlight and shines it down my shorts. Unfortunately I had just come from the beach, so there may have been some "shrinkage" involved. Luckily I was cleared to fly, and went on my way...

    omg too funny!

According to @justhappy in post #16, the Breakaway is scheduled for a dry dock in February 2025, shortly before the OP's planned cruise.

Hmmm I am scheduled to sail the 9 day cruise 1/29 - 2/7.  Looks like there is the TA after that then dry dock?  Do you think it’s a bad idea to sail right before dry dock?

We have cruised on the Breakaway twice and three times on her sister ship, the Getaway.  Twice were in the Haven.  The other times we sailed in a Balcony stateroom.  We enjoyed each of those cruises.  This past October we sailed a similar itinerary to the one you are planning while on board the Dawn.  We had a great time in each of those ports.  To be sure, the Breakaway is starting to show its age.  It's been five years since we sailed on her, and the reports of wear and tear are not to be discounted.  Those issues, however, will likely be resolved during the Breakaway's next dry dock, which will occur prior to your planned trip.  Overall, we found the ship to be well designed, the layout was easy to find our way around, and most anything you might want in a ship was available.  Some will object, of course, that it doesn't have this venue or that lounge, but I have no complaints about the ship.  We always found plenty to keep us entertained and always had a wonderful time on board.  If the itinerary appeals to you, I would heartily recommend that you go for it, regardless of what some negative reviews might indicate.

When is dry dock scheduled for Breakaway?
