This summed up the whole trip for us, it was the beginning of a wonderful 10 year Anniversary Cruise. Picture taken from our balcony leaving beautiful San Diego Port:)
GORGEOUS VIEW!

Mine would have to be from HMC in 2006- Me in the water for the first time in 25 yrs and I LOVED IT!

LOL ya I was upgraded from 8A to an 8I ... looked into it and found the area they were upgrading me to was RIGHT UNDER the POOL area...lol I called back and got us changed to one deck down. Heard to many things about hearing scrapping of chairs...
What ship was this on????
-
you "might" hear scraping of chairs throughout the time. You wont hear people walking or talking. But you are in an area that is not used as much as say in the middle of the lido deck.
(Did you check to see if the corner cat 9A are available.. these are well worth the money for the balcony alone.)
It was a free upgrade from 8A.... :)

Has anyone Heard anything bad about Triumph 8427 or 8422?
Curious to know if they have noise problems with the Lido being right above?
Thanks

Hopefully it won't offend anyone..... ;)
Looking good. :eek:Pete

Pumpkin soup and Mushroom soup. Definitely my favorites!!!
Have been on the Destiny 4 times. They have the best!!!!
I am going on the Destiny in Sept. I will try the mushroom soup for you. Will let you know how it was when I get back. :p

Ok, don't laugh when I say this but I have never had French onion soup until my Jan 2006 Liberty cruise. I LOVED it so much that I had a second.
So,FRENCH ONION is my FAV. :D

I prefer to buy lobsters live & cook them myself, or order them from a restaurant where they have live tanks for them.
I don't particularly look forward to lobster night, but most of the lobsters I've had on cruises are not bad. They aren't dry or stringy. A couple I had on the ship's specialty restaurants are quite good actually. They're good if cooked just right.
Guess you haven't been on a HAL cruise....lol The 2 lobster tails I had were dry, stringy and just plain BORING. Did I eat them anyways? Yup I did. My craving my worse than a pregnant woman's 3am pickle and ice cream run....lol

Yesterday went on Priceline and tried to create an account for myself. Wasn't allowed as I live in Canada, not in US. It needs a State picked.
Well, I thought I'll see what happens in the bidding, and see if it will let me bid. I tried for resort in San Juan, 2 rooms, 2 nights, Aug. 20, at $60. Wasn't accepted. As per the suggestions from this thread (thanks to you all), I then added a region (I think it was Dodora) and bid at $65. It was accepted. Good stuff.
However, today I called Air Canada to check my flight booking. It turned out United (Star Alliance member that Air Canada booked on) had cancelled their flight to San Juan on Aug. 20 from Chicago. They gave me a United number to call to find out what can be done. I called United, and they said there are seats on another flight at 6am, but they cannot give to me. They told me to call back in a month, and see what's available. They said flight schedules will change again and there's nothing they can do?!?:o
Can I please ask you a question regarding your bidding?
When you added another region, did you have "resort" and "dodora" both
Checked when placing your next bid?
I am at my wits end right now as I am up to $105 for Sept 15, 1 night stay and I started at $65....:(

I just bid up to $75 for San Jan Juan resort area, 1 night Sept 15 Check in and my bid was not accepted.....:(
Any tips other than the bidding for travel site. Too confusing for me.

When bidding on Priceline I want to be close to the port. Or not that far from it. Should I choose San Juan as my choice for areas to stay in?
Does anyone know how far the San Juan hotels are from the port?
Has anyone been lucky for bookng the weekend of Sept 16/07 yet?
Thanks in advance
