  1. Certain higher level rooms receive invitations to dine with a senior officer as a perk. If this is your case, you will most likely be contacted once you are on board.

There is a way to let Regent know about dietary restrictions. 90 days prior to sailing email rsscops@rssc.com to let them know. Depending upon your situation, someone will contact you once on board about sitting down to talk. I am lactose intolerant, and this usually involves getting a copy of all menus the day before, and needing to select and drop off my choices at one of the breakfast venues the next morning.

You can make spa appointments in advance, but the exact address escapes me right now. See below.

Finally, there is a lot of information in the FAQ’s (including the answers to many of your questions) found all the way on the bottom of the landing/opening page at rssc.com.

We were all newbies once! Please don’t hesitate to ask more questions, and enjoy your cruise!

  2. I agree, please look at Regent. We have sailed on Regent ships several times, including the WC2017 and we are booked for the WC2023. We are also booked for Vancouver to Tokyo this Fall. If that’s a no-go, we are booked on Miami to Barcelona and on to Venice next Spring.
Everything, from the room, the food, the excursions, and the staff are top notch. We won’t sail with another line, unless the itinerary is a place that Regent doesn’t sail to.

  3. Yes, we’ve been aware for some time that all FCC has to be used by 12/31/22.

We are lucky we are retired.

We have 2 segments booked for this Fall, 2 more segments booked for Spring ‘22 as a backup in case this Fall doesn’t work out, and finally a Fall ‘22 cruise to use it all up.

We are booked on the WC’23, and had hoped to use a lot of this FCC on that. That’s when we found out we had to use it all up by the end of ‘22.

  4. You will be able to reserve in advance 1 night in Prime 7 and 1 night in Chartreuse. You might be able to make additional reservations in those restaurants once on board.

None of the other restaurants require reservations.

BTW, there is a wealth of knowledge in the FAQ’s on the Regent website. Scroll all the way to the bottom of the home page and look for FAQ’s.

  5. Currently, all FCC has to be used by December 31, 2022. We have a trip booked this coming September and October, using FCC. Not very hopeful that it will sail, since it begins in Vancouver. As a backup, we’ve booked an April, 2022 cruise on Splendor...and a NY to Montreal trip in the fall of 2022. We have a lot of FCC to use!

  6. labonnevie,

    Sorry I’m late in responding.

We canceled on March 6. On April 14 we received a guest cancellation statement through our TA . It stated what we had paid in total for the cruise which was x, then the cruise fare fee, which was y.That was the amount that we used as FCC for another cruise. When I subtracted the cruise fare fee from the amount we paid for the cruise, I was left with a balance still owed to us. That amount included $834 in shore excursions and a class for the 2 of us in the Culinary Kitchen. The rest I assume to be port fees and taxes.

We did get back either in the form of a refund or FCC everything we were owed.
