  1. My wife and I just stumbled across the factory walking through the tourist village this past Jan. Just walked in and they asked if they asked us if they could show us around. It was a nice storefront with a kitchen in the back. They showed us around the kitchen and how chocolate was grown and processed. Never charged us a dime for a tour at that time.

There were only about 3 people (customers) there when we arrived and we had the place to ourselves after about 30 minutes.

Be prepared for some unconventional variations on chocolate that are fun to taste. My lips are still puckered from some of the flavors! All that said we bought a ton of the stuff to bring home. They have some weird chocolate bars there. Many of their bars are shaped very similar to Hershey type bars (about 6"X3"???)

We're headed that way again this Jan (13) on the Legend and will definitely drop in for a visit and buy another boat load of the stuff.

This sounds so cool, and is the first time I've heard about it. Thanks

  2. We would also like to know who will be on the Legend for our September 30th Cruise?? We spend lots of time in the Piano Bar if it's good. Of course after sailing with Ron on our last Cruise, he is pretty hard to top.

Looking forward to the November 24th sailing with him and lots of the regular Piano Bar Peeps on the Breeze.

John just said it will be Jordan Hepner.

  3. In my honestly humble opinion.........sometimes we need to bring the party to the piano player..........let's all chip in to make the evening a special occasion.......a piano player is just another member of the party!!!! If you need further assistance........just invite me to the party.........:)

I totally agree! And just what we did on Fascination a couple weeks ago. Had a blast in the piano bar!

  4. I`m just curious to see how many people actully enjoy having to dress up for dinner on elegant night while on a cruise.

I did dress up on my first cruise last summer for both nights. I

will do it again this time around also.

But...if i had the choice i would much rather not have to,i wear enough suits while i`m not on vacation.

While on vacation i would prefer to just be able to dress casual, so i could do without it.

What about u? Enjoy it, or could u do without elegant night?

I understand that u can just eat at the buffet if u wanted to, but let`s say that`s not an option.:)

YES, I actually enjoy dressing up for an elegant dinner.

  5. I am curious to know how many times you've sailed the same ship and why?

We just sailed on the Dream, and we really liked that ship. I am already browsing cruises on it for next year different itinerary. Would you choose the same ship again or choose something different for a change?

We've mainly sailed on the same ships for their distance from our home. That being said, we just LOVE Fascination so we are glad we can drive there in six hours.

  6. A Carnival representative informed me yesterday that during the week of January 10, 2011, Carnival quietly added Cabana Rentals to their on-line reservation system for $199.99 for four people. This will probably cause a lot of confusion to all those passengers who still think that they have to actually board the ship and rent a cabana from the excusrion desk. They will be very surprised and dissapointed! Once you successfully book a cabana on-line, you must visit the excursion desk on board the ship to choose your cabana #, your snorkel sizes and soft drink preference.

Thanks Carnival!! We just grabbed one of the seven (7) remaining cabanas [4/17/11 visit on the Carnival Liberty]. Now we don't have to worry about rushing to the excursion desk to grab one of the 15 cabanas!

Grab them while you still can and don't wait another minute...they are selling out fast!!

How do you know there were 7 left?

  7. What is a clamshell?

I'm interested in a Clamshell (I'm cheap) and without friends..

but on HAL's website it reads $14.- per person..is it $14 or $28 for 2

I thought they came with 2 lounges per Clamshell.
