Acropolis in Athens was closed because of the heat (CNN) last Thursday. Anybody experiencing it right now in Europe? What did you do to cope?

Thank you Ginak1112. We are going August 16 on Amalfi and Greek route. Unfortunately we cannot move the date as it is a vow renewal in Santorini. I cancelled mine and grandson's Pompeii excursion..too bad it is Celebrity Priority access - amalfie motor launch and Pompeii. The rest of the group are going.  Had been looking forward to it..but..

Athens - we are going directly to the museum (air conditioned) and will wait for the group there after they visit the Acropolis.  I would assume it will be deadly hot there also.

MJSailors, as long as it is not high humidity, I think we will survive. I don't mind hot, but humidity..can't breathe. :-(

Heard that there is a heatwave right now in Europe. How bad is it? So scared for my asthma.

Kat288 are you by any chance in the Amalfi route? I am hoping for anybody to post the dailies so we can plan accordingly.

Thank you for your review. We are going for an Amalfi Greek isle cruise on board celebrity cruise Aug 2019 and staying 3 days in Rome and 5 days Paris. Scared of possibility of having no aircon  on in the 90  - 97 degrees nights. Cancelled 2 excursions because if the heat 

Just cancelled our excursion to Pompeii Aug 2019. Scared for my 8 yo grandson

We are taking the Celebrity Amalfi and Pompeii 9.5 hr excursion. I have read that there is a heat wave right now and could even get hotter by the time we go this coming August. I cancelled mine and my grandson’s excursion though the rest of the group are going. I worry I will not be able to handle 100 degrees heat.

TeaRick, we use Bell in Canada. Did you mean that I would need to buy an unlimited package before it works?

That's what I thought, that wifi calling will only be good on land, not on the ship and you must also get the ship's wifi package in order to communicate from the ship.

One of our friends said that you pay 12.00 per day,max 15 days and you can use your wifi calling to call anywhere without paying the ships charges.

Hi will be on Amalfi cruise for 11 days. I read somewhere that I can use this as if I an at home (Canada).

Can somebody please help me with the following.

a. Any extra charges.

b. If I call family in Canada, do I have to pay roaming?

c. Can I use wifi calling to connect to you tube?

d. How is the connection?

The closer we get to our date, the scarier it gets with regards to evening entertainment.

A friend of mine mentioned that outside ocean view there was a lineup of wheelchair, like an old age home. They can hardly converse because all these oldies gave them the “look”. 

If there is not enough entertainment, we have to entertain ourselves, but that could get noisy.😳🥴. They might put us in a naughty room, facing the wall😩

To Yorky, we have 100% control when it comes to internet usage old and young alike, even if most of our families are IT professionals.

Last year in Harmony, we did not touch the internet except when checking on our 4 legged families left behind.

Hello, my grandson had been cruising since he was three months inside his mom and is used to RC Freedom and most especially the Oasis ships. There is no shortage of activities for kids on these ships.

From the reviews, we are worried that he will be bored  and you know what that equates to. Eleven days on the ship and nothing to interest a very active kid...hmmmm.

miched, Jesse is used to the RC Oasis class children’s program and he loves them. Hopefully Celebrity is the same.

Hi, We will be on Edge Amalfi cruise and might be too boring for an 8 year old with out his games.

Is surf enough to get these games connected or do I need the more expensive package

Hi, my grandson likes playing his games in the internet. Am I able to use Surf or do I have to get unlimited.

It is also our first time with Celebrity Edge for 11 this Aug. days and quite worried about the entertainment, being used to the Oasis class ships. Our favourite among the Oasis ships is Symphony and we are looking forward to April 2020 for our Symphony cruise. We find that any new Oasis release is almost the same as the old one except for new additional games. Food is always good. We love the Oriental stir fries with huge shrimps.

We have been to the iteneraries many times so we go for the ship. As long as you book everything in advance you will have an amazing trip.

We also look forward to the updated Bahamas island(forgot the name).

I will let you know the food difference when we come back from our trip.

 I suggest you try even once, even for just the entertainment and experience the ship.

Sorry guys, it’s a heartache!

Our Aug Amalfi cruise had a child free special. when I checked, the parent’s pp doubled to make up for the free child. Ended up costing more.

I have been checking the specials, but it has either doubled to make up for the discount or our cruise is not included.

Feel like we are ignorant or whatever 🧐🥴

They should stop hammering our e-mails with these specials. Sometimes I think it is an insult to our intelligence.
