At home, we have a tablecloth on both the Kitchen and Dining Room tables. It's a personal and maybe generational thing.
I agree completely. I always have tablecloths on my table. I don't like bare tables. My husband and I used to be in the service industry and we have seen how tables are cleaned. More often than not the same cloth is used repeatedly on tabletops, cleaning off big items but smearing around lots of little things. When I go out to eat, if there is no tablecloth I will use a hand wipe to wipe off the table and it always picks up a ton of nasty stuff. I already know that I am a clean freak but I definitely want to eat in a clean environment. The tablecloths help ensure that the table you are eating at has a clean surface. That is why I like them while eating in a restaurant. Sad to see them go, but I will just bring the wipes with me.

The coughing kid situation would've killed me. I love that you take a very uncomfortable situation and find a humorous way to post it. Great job.

I loved your cabana list picture!! That is so funny. I believe you have earned the OCD crown on that one *lol* :D
That's to funny. Here I am thinking that's a great idea and tell my hubby we are making a list so he can run ahead with it. My OCD loves your ideas. ;-)

I'm loving this so far. I'm anxiously awaiting your review of the cabanna, as we are also thinking about #14.

With the staggered boarding do they still have the captains lounge for priority or is that not necessary any longer? TIA

Hair flat irons are great for getting rid of wrinkles in small areas as well, FYI

This thread on line 14 has an interactive menu for the Glory.

Chef John Besh's restaurant Lüke is amazing. Check out the breweries down by the riverside. watch for the performers and the sales people there on the streets, some are just aggressive.
-
We were there in September and had a blast. My husband fed the tarpin and that was something to see. They are aggressive when fed, I thought he was going to loose his hand. When we were snorkeling the coral a suitcase floated by us. It was a complete set inside each other. Our guide told us that they had found a few lately and thought it was from the cargo ship that sank in the storm.

Thanks. We will check it out.

What is SAS transport? We are looking for transport to our hotel and I think we have ruled out uber.

Following. We are going to be on the Glory in March.

Just caught this post. So sad. We are booked for March and we got it specifically for the pool.

We finally have plans in St. Thomas now thanks to your review and everyone is excited for it. Thank you so much for all of your time on this review. I have enjoyed reading it and sharing it with my family.

As I mentioned earlier, I booked this through Island Marketing and it is the Island Sensation Tour. I believe Island Marketing uses different vendors and I don't think you would necessarily get Tim. The other group with us apparently booked with another vendor and because they each had small groups for the day, they combined us together. At least that's my understanding of what happened. They were also on the Sunshine but they had been told to meet at a different dock.
So, if you want to book directly with Tim, here is his website: http://tenderrental.com/Tours.html
I would definitely recommend this tour - it completely changed my opinion of St. Martin!!
I am so happy that you shared this about St. Martin. I have no plans for this port and have been hesitant about doing an excursion as we will have several other ships in port while we are there. I imagine it will be crowded. This looks like something I want to do. I can't wait to show this to my family tonight and schedule this tour, hopefully we can get Tim as well. Thank you.

I love the picture with everyone on the stairs lined up. So cute.

What are you taking the pictures with? They have all turned out good, just curious. Thanks

We cruised the Dream in September and we found the MDR food bad. We only ate there for two days and both were bad. Fried chicken one night so overcooked I couldn't cut through it with a knife. Second night was formal night and prime rib was grey and unapealling. After that we did steak house or pizza. We thought it was disappointing but it didn't ruin our experience.

Looks like you had great weather for your visit. Loving all of the pictures and info on the ports. Thanks for the great review.

I was thinking about how to clean the tub as well. I just checked the reviews on amazon about this product and have now decided I just will not use the tub. It says so much stuff comes out that it's gross. I don't want to deal with that in vacation.

Those ships look so close. That must have been interesting to watch.

I think our daughter will enjoy it

So if you don't like crowds so much which cabana is ideal? At what point do the amount of people start to thin out? I see that most people like #10 but hubby is thinking that he wants the furthest out I wonder if it is to far.

I had to read your post to my husband (an electrical foreman) and we discussed the different points you made. Thank you for educating us about the way the onboard electrical works. We never really thought about it before but gaining knowledge is always a good thing.

We were just at Half Moon Cay and had cabana 14 as well. We had the same experience with the fan, only I sprayed my family with it like a water gun before I could turn it off. We loved the location. Quiet and not crowded. We walked on the back path to the bathrooms and it is such a pretty walk that time flew by. My only complaint was when we got there they had not cleaned from the previous booking and the cabinets were full of old food, and lots of bugs. My husband went to complain and staff came right out and cleaned and wiped down everything. A supervisor came back and said that they just had a meeting to make sure that didn't happen again, then she told us she was giving us 25% off the cabana for the trouble.
