  1. So sorry to hear you were sick! This is my biggest fear! I have never had a problem while on the ship (Paradise or Sensation) and only mildly on tenders but had my Bonine. I have never cruised from Baltimore but have heard that the seas are a bit rougher going down to the Caribbean. I will be going in February so now I know to stock up on my Bonine and preemptively take it on our sea days!

  2. Hi! Is there any convenient shopping at this port? ...Looking for souveniers and perhaps duty-free items.

Is there a Hard Rock here?

    Thanks!

I believe we are going to be on the same cruise as you in February. I want to go into town to go to the museum store and trying to find out the best way to get there because someone posted that they have nice local souvenirs there.

  3. I know your trolley was not on a Carnival cruise. However is there something comparable to it once you get into port that you can book there? I'm looking at the excursions on Carnival's page and I just want a little trip into town to go to the museum and the ones on Carnival are pretty expensive.

  4. PORTS:

Nassau - We booked a food walking tour with Tru Bahamian Food Tours. It was about 3 to 3.5 hours and included six stops along the way with various local foods. The cost was only $69 per person and was well worth it. It was not only about the food; however, the excellent tour guide we had was also very knowledgeable with lots of facts about the city and its history.

We just booked this for our cruise in February. Glad to hear it was enjoyable. Is there a lot of walking in between locations? The website said the total walk is about a mile and a half. My mother needs to take breaks when walking so I want to make sure she is not going to be overwhelmed.

  5. Here's my feelings about it. I don't think that it should be mandatory for all in the cabin if one person wants it. I would like to get it, because I think I would be drinking enough that it would be monetarily better for me. However, my sister will be sharing a cabin and she will not be consuming enough that she wants to pay the premium price of the package.

  6.

I used a Canon Power Shot D20. It's not just an underwater camera and can also be used for land pictures. I know that the Olympus Tough gets high ratings and the quality is also very good & used for land pictures as well. I think Valentinebaby1, who also has a Liberty review of the same sailing, has the Olympus Tough and they got a lot of nice snorkeling pictures. The only downside is that I wouldn't consider either camera cheap. The Canon is around $260 (average) and the Olympus is even more expensive.

There is also a Fuji Finepix XP underwater (that gets good pictures) that is less expensive. We still have one of the old ones (they have newer models available now with higher megapixels) and we're still happy with it. The pictures are similar. A lot of times, the water/weather conditions can affect the way pictures come out too.

I just came across the Fuji Finepix one in a catalog and was wondering how good it was. Thanks!

  7. QUOTE=stargate fan;48253797]Crud, I meant starboard, not port.

I have to play a trick on myself to remember Starboard from Port: "The stars are always right." It's corney but that is how I remember Starboard is on the right. Bow and Stern. B is before S in the English alphabet. So Bow is in front and Stern is in back. Bear with me, I'm old. :D

I remember port is left because they both have 4 letters. And when you bow, you lean forward. :D

  8. We too were on the Repo cruise and I have heard this complaint from a number of people and the same question goes through my mind every time. Did you really think it would be warm in March in Baltimore?

We had 13 days of awesome weather (14 if you count the day before in FL). It was a great cruise and the Pride is a really great ship. You will not be disappointed! :D

Then again we have sailed out of Baltimore in January and returned to a blizzard. lol. Part of living in the N.E. Next cruise on the Pride in February. Can't wait. Enjoy!

I look forward to hearing about your experience when you return as we will be on Pride 2 weeks after. I have never cruised out of Baltimore nor have I ever cruised in February so I am not looking forward to being inside until it gets warm enough to enjoy the outside of the ship. Would like to hear how the 2 days at sea are at that time of year.

  9. Hello CC'ers -

I'm going on Pride 2/20/16 and want to reserve Steakhouse in advance ... but of course don't want to "miss" something scrumptious in the MDR that night, so I'd like to peep the menus NOW to decide which day to make my reservation. (I know about the night 1 "wine" promotion, but neither of us drink alcohol so that promotion is meaningless to us.)

If someone can email me pictures VegasMan777@Gmail.com or post them here that would be most appreciated!!!!!

    Thanks so much!

We will be on this sailing as well. I can't wait!:D

After a very enjoyable day in Grand Turk, it was time to get back on board. We spent so much time in the pool that we never got anything to eat at Margaritaville as we had planned. So imagine how we were feeling after sucking down 2 each of these on rice krispies and melon from the morning. Yea, I had to sober up really quick to help get us back to and on the ship without any embarrassing situations. Thankfully there was no line, that was a first

OMG! Loving the review. SMH at that ridiculousness that is bra lady and already planning to buy that lovely drink thingy from Margaritaville in February. I love it and I need one.

  11. I haven't been on a cruise in a looooonggg time. I am finally going to be able to take one in February. I used to have this little pack that clipped around the waist and had these Ziploc type baggies that went with it to keep stuff dry. It worked great but I have lost track of it now and I don't remember what it is called so I could get another. Since I discovered it on Cruise Critic the first time, I am hoping someone knows what I am talking about. TIA!

  12. Is it worth taking any of the excursions offered through Carnival for this island or would it just be a waste of money? Is there really anything else to see/do besides a beach day. I don't want to spend money doing an excursion if the best thing is to really just sit in the sand. I will be cruising in February.
