We are booked B2B, 14 days, out of Athens September 2023. We are new to Virgin and are doing a trial 5 night Caribbean next month to get a feel for how things work onboard.  I researched other cruise lines with similar itinerary extensively.  Virgin itinerary topped them all and it’s perfect for island hopping.   One difference with Virgin is they have longer stays on the islands and an overnight in Mykonos.

Thanks for the reply.  This short Caribbean cruise is a food test for part of a bigger trip I am taking next year….a 14-day back to back out of Athens.  I feel very hopeful it will work out after reading your comments.

Taking my first Virgin cruise in November….excited!  Just curious how flexible the restaurants are about leaving butter/sauces off food or making an alteration in meals at the restaurants.  It’s an impossible situation on other cruise lines as they usually end up serving tasteless chicken or salmon with plain rice and a dry veggie every night.  I see on Virgin menus there a lot of vegetarian meals and a few vegan, but being dairy-free I don’t fit into either category as I eat and need animal protein.  If any non-dairy person has any experience or advice, I’d appreciate it.

Newbie here and I have a few questions regarding Silversea line.  I am considering booking Greek Islands next year and taking advantage of the $699 one way business air upgrade.  If anyone on this board has done so in the past, I am wondering how flexible their air program is with regards to flying in early than embarkation or flying home from another city or stopovers.  Any comments would be appreciated.  Also, I have dairy intolerance and I am wondering if they offer alternative milk like almond milk and whether they cater to someone in my position.  I’ve been on Azamara previously and they did pretty good job of helping me with this.   Last question is why are there so many negative reviews out there?  It’s almost scaring me off!

Could you please let us know how you rate the on-board entertainment? Taking this cruise next month.

Thanks! I'm rethinking my decision to go to the East Side to snorkel. Maybe someone has advice on best beach club to go to that I can grab a boat to take us out to the reef on the West Side. Also, I'm still open to hearing about the best place to tequila taste. Thanks again!

I am considering a private driver for a one-day cruise excursion. I would like to see the east side of Cozumel and I am wondering if there is any off beach snorkeling there. I also want to do a higher end tequila tasting, not the sweet, syrupy stuff....any suggestions?? I am also wondering if there is a beach stop-off where I could get a boat to do a one hour snorkel over a reef. Thanks for your help!
