What have you done to keep from running into the pole in the middle of the night?

I have question. Will my luggage tags appear in my e-docs? It said that if I qualify it will appear there. Not sure what it means to qualify.
We are 49 days till we sail. Just wondering if I will need to wait and get the luggage tags at the port.

Yes, they can move you. I would confirm with RC, but in the past, you could cancel the 3rd person up to 14 days before the cruise for a full refund.
If you cancel the third person on the 14th or 15th day before sailing, would they still move you?

There is no fixed cost, tips are at your discretion. If they are just taking bags at embarkation, a minimal amount. If they are taking your bags at disembarkation, walking you through customs (maybe in a faster line), taking bags to your car, loading them, etc., then I'd give more.
The last time we cruised out of San Juan I tipped the porter $20. To get us through customs. Didn’t feel it was bad,but don’t want to insult anyone.

What does it cost to use a porter.

What ship are you sailing on? Chops may not be open for lunch on embarkation day.
It may be open for gold card holders but they grab their food in the Windjammer and
eat in Chops. Depending on the ship, they may or may not be serving food in there
on the first day.
What are gold card holder? Just curious.

I can’t add to the cruise price discussion, but I do have a price point for airfare. I flew round trip from Tucson to San Juan in May 1987 coach class on Eastern Airlines. We had a very nice dinner, Chicken Kiev I believe. The ticket price was $1300.
For my November 2016 cruise, Tucson to San Juan round trip business class was $860. The meal was much better in 1987, but 2016 had no smokers on the plane. Baggage claim in San Juan was equally slow.
I do enjoy hearing stories of how cruising used to be. But I really have enjoyed not having smoking everywhere now. I would never book a balcony room if smoking was allowed on them. Flying is not much fun now, but we live in a very different world since 9/11. And I really appreciate not sitting in a smoked filled airplane for several hours.
Unfortunately life has changed in many ways for the worse, but also in some ways for the better. I enjoy taking a vacation and not having to cook or clean for an entire week. I don't get to travel very much so try to enjoy the time I do.
Just my few thoughts.

Love it after a crazy day at middle school! [emoji12]
Well my sister and I are just one step ahead of you as we are gold as of our first cruise in 2016. In June we will see what "gold" status is really like on our second cruise. [emoji2][emoji2]

we really liked it , but limited 3 or so appetizers. maybe 7 entrees several steaks, salmon, hamburger , 3 or 4 sides and a couple of deserts, mushroom soup was excellent , check your cruise planner you should see if it is there and the menu
So what I see for lunch is the whole menu? Could I order a side if the appetizers don't appeal? I don't see much on the appetizers that may appeal to my sister.

Just a question. Is the Chops lunch a very limited menu? And is it available on embarkation on Freedom?

There are many Quinceanera cruises (celebrations of a girl turning 15) from Puerto Rico. Although, with the post Irma situation, I am not sure how many there will be now. We had one on a cruise of ours and the girls were sweet and respectful.
I think it is good to google group cruises with your cruise date and see what comes up.
Thanks for the reply. We did have several groups in 2016. No problems Quinceanera groups.

Do theme cruises of all types mainly depart from the US mainland? Our cruise departs from Puerto Rico and I haven't noticed any theme cruises departing there.

I'm curious about what the service charge is on the drink packages. Is this the 18% tip? Or is this for tax?'
Thanks.

What do you type into google for the search? "Affinity" cruises? Sorry if I'm not up on the current lingo.

I know all guests in a room must purchase the beverage package. If one guest ends up being a no show, is their beverage package refunded?
I assume it would be, but would like like a little feedback.

If in the Condado area, Orozco is good authentic local food at reasonable prices.
Loved Orozco when we were there in 2016. Can't wait till June to go back. [emoji3]
It is a place that locals go to eat, so very authentic.

Thanks for all the tips. Glad someone mentioned the online check-in or I would be asking that question in May! [emoji3]
