Hi all,at Munich airport with Phil and Carol.TUI have offered us 7 days prorata refund of the cost of our holiday and £100 voucher each. Not too bad maybe, the first 4 days were good.Who remembers the song "Camp Granada" lol.
I remember it well
Hello mother, hello father
Here I am at Camp Granada
Camp is very entertaining
And they say we'll have some fun if it stops rainingI went hiking with Joe Spivey
He developed poison ivy
You remember Lennard Skinard
He got ptomain poisoning last night after dinnerAll the counselors hate the waiters
And the lake has alligators
And the head coach wants no sissies
So he reads to us from something called 'Ulysses'No, I don't want this should scare ya
But my bunkmate has malaria
You remember Jeffrey Hardy
They're about to organize a searching partyTake me home, oh mother, father
Take me home, I hate Granada
Don't leave me out in the forest
Where I might get eaten by a bearTake me home, I promise I will not make noise
Or mess the house with other boys
Oh, please don't make me stay
I've been here one whole dayDearest father, darling mother
How's my precious little brother
Let me come home if you miss me
I would even let Aunt Bertha hug and kiss meWait a minute, it stopped hailing
Guys are swimming, guys are sailing
Playing baseball, gee that's better
Mother, father, kindly disregard this letterSource: MusixmatchSongwriters: Allan ShermanHello Mudduh, Hello Fadduh! lyrics © Curtain Call Productions- 2

We also had a case go missing on Arvia last year and that had the screw fastening label. So it just goes to show that any label can get ripped off its just a matter of luck.

Have any of you been watching The Fortune Hotel on ITV? All I can say is FAB. If you are a fan of Traitors then this is on a par. Just finished the final episode which airs tonight but already available on ITVX. No spoilers just enjoy!

Good morning everyone. Another early morning I have rejoined the early risers getting up 5:10 am.
A little grey here but I have put the washing out on the line, hopefully it will dry.because a few bits of blue sky are trying to break through.
The for sale sign is due to go up either today or tomorrow, we have told the neighbours next to us, it was a difficult decision but we have to do what we think is best for us.
So sorry to hear that you have decided to sell. I have found the planning application and I still do not think that it could possibly get passed, but if it does through some sort of backhanded way(?), you have made the right decision. Good luck!

Same cul-de-sac.
Really?? I can't see how it could possibly get passed, surely the council would need to look at the parking situation. Its not just a house having an extension, its a business in a residential area. I'm going to get on my soap box in a minute.

The postman delivered bad news this morning in the form of a notification of change in use for the neighbouring 5 bedroom house that was sold in February.
The owners (not yet moved in) have applied for planning permission to extend it for use as a care home. We now have to fill in a form online to explain our objections to the plan. The people next to us are furious because they think that the extension will mean that the new people will be able to see into their bedroom. For us it means that our previously very private garden will be visible to the new people so no more nude sunbathing 🤣
I have just filled out the objection form on the council site but I doubt that it will make a difference. DH thinks that we should put our bungalow up for sale and move out of the area so he is now busy looking at estate agents and has already arranged for 2 agents to come and give us valuations next week. 🤔
Oh Josy I really feel for you. Its not just the fact re privacy etc its all the increase in traffic, staff cars, ambulances, doctors, hairdressers plus visitors. Is it in the same cul de sac or on a different road with plenty of parking?

Thanks Avril and Kalos. I think I will pot it up just to see what it turns out to be. We have loads of birds flying into the garden from the woods so it sounds worth a try. Xx
There are some free apps on Google where you can take a photo of the plant and they will identify it for you.

Fantastic choice you'll love it. Just be prepared for the DJ but then again you might like his music!😁

Yes we had ' DJ Griggsy' belting out his Ibiza chillout music from the sunset bar below on our Caribbean in Jan. We noticed he alternates between deck 8 and deck 16 so good to hear there's no noise when he's upstairs. Annoying as he was it hasn't put us booking another aft cabin, on deck 14 this time and just out of the pool waterfall drop zone. ☔ Those suites look lovely by the way.
Don't think he was upstairs on our cruise, if he was we didn't hear him. It felt like being back in the 90's at a rave when he was on in the sunset bar, it didn't put us off, the accommodation far outweighed the music.

That's great info thank you.
As per a previous post how did you find the lack of sun on the balcony?
Not a problem it all depends on time of day and direction you are travelling in, you can always move around to the side or shuffle the loungers/chairs around.

No, All the other corner suites were taken. The shade won't bother us to be honest and I was hoping the pool area will close early and open late although we are very early risers normally.
We stayed in 15735 on Arvia last year they are fantastic. We had no problems with noise from above our only gripe was the DJ in the bar below but he was based on starboard side not port. I'm sure you will enjoy, have a great time.

After reading all your advice I will keep an eye because this was quite a big difference in price but as it's our 10th year wedding anniversary and 20th year together we thought we'd splash out a bit, if service isn't up to scratch then I will raise the issue. Thank you.
Don't get me wrong we have had some excellent butlers who have gone above and beyond and I hope that last years experience was just a fluke. Wishing you all a fantastic cruise on a beautiful ship...enjoy 😁

Ok, it was just because the booking slot comes out the day before at 10am and we will be on a couple of excursions the day before. But if it's not possible it's not a problem just wanted to see what the butler can do to help us with a young family.
If he's anything like the one we had on Arvia last year he will do as little as possible. In the past our butler has been more than happy to book reservations in the MDR or speciality restaurants for us as well as arranging with the manager so that our daughter (not in the suite) could dine with us for breakfast. Last year he said he was unable to do any of that and it had to be done on the app. Totally useless, unless we were just unlucky.

Why would they have waited longer for Intercruises ? I think that it is likely that they would wait as long as they could whichever coach company was held up by problems on the motorway because P&O would surely prefer that the passengers were on the ship regardless of which coach they were on. If it was ever found that the decision to sail without the passengers was influenced by the coach company it would be very bad publicity for them. I think that it is probably more likely that the decision was influenced by the port officials or by the tides.
Yes quite but I just wonder if it would have made a decision on the preferred operator, just IMO, I feare a lot of insurance claims coming on.

It was Eavesway, haven’t seen anything else about it, I’m gutted for them.So am I, also for the poor driver. What an awful situation to be in. We have travelled with Eavesway countless times and never had any problems, I wonder if it had been Intercruises the ship would have waited longer. Aurora was going on a 16 night Northern Lights cruise, such a shame.

Morning all, just seen that due to an awful crash on the M6 yesterday Aurora left without a coach!! Those poor people, I’d be devastated. I can’t find many details but it seems they did wait for a while for them.
Do we know which company it was, Intercruises or Eavesway?

Well we arrived in perranporth at 10 o’clock this morning and they let us in to our caravan early.
check in was supposed to be 4 o’clock so bonus, also has we were the first visitors of the year we got a bottle of Prosecco and two cuddles teddies, all good except we didn’t have any heating or hot water until 3 o’clock as the boiler was broke , all fix now and cozy and warm because it’s freezing and chuffing windy , had a scout around to get our bearings and had to have a local pasty and some wet stuff to go with it after all I’m a classy girl 😂😂
Absolutely love Perranporth, we usually stay on Perran Sands which is ideally placed for everything. Have you visited Healeys Cider Farm? Best cream teas anywhere.

Good morning everyone here is a message for anyone who comes under Stoke City Council. You can now register to have your garden waste collected all year round at a cost of £40. Not bad really when you look at other parts of the country.
