I know the package says it includes premium coffees, but does that include Starbucks?

So far, the Gem! Have done it the Breakaway and the Getaway.

I've done the Breakaway and the Getaway. I found them more alike than anything, except the smoke was horrendous on the Breakaway! It was everywhere, could even smell it on our balcony. Perhaps that isn't the norm, but it was truly awful.

Do you think uber would be surge pricing? Is there a website that I could use to get taxi pricing?

We decided last minute one of us will be flying home. They are flying out of JFK airport. We've booked a 2:30 flight so I think they should be good time wise, but what is the easiest way to get from the Manhattan terminal to JFK? It will be a Friday morning.

We frequently drive up from Florida to the North East and vice versa. Its a nice drive. If you have a few extra days there are a lot of places to stop and see along the way.
Hampton Inn Ridgefield Park and Hilton Garden Inn Ridgefield Park are two that I've heard do the Stay, park, and ride to port.

I think it's worth it. We had a cabana last time we were there and like it so much we booked another for our visit this time. Yes the cost is steep for the larger ships, but it was worth it to us.

What about parking at Essex station and taking that train in to Seacaucus? Would that work?

I'm looking for transportation options from the Hampton Inn Ridgefield Park to NYC. We plan to come in a day before our cruise and see the Christmas decorations in Rockefeller Center. We have a vehicle so we could drive to a train station.
Thanks!

Had beef Wellington on Getaway in September 2016, not sure if it's still on the menu though!

Dale was excellent! I also like Mr worldwide, mimosas, Bellini, mojitos.
I really found the best value to be the martinis. I however am a lightweight so I did not drink many of them!

We are getting OBC from both Norwegian and our TA. How do I know which one is showing up? I see one pre- bought OBC on my e doc's.
Also as a perk we are getting prepaid DSC. When and how will that show up?

We just got back from a 10 day cruise Tuesday and stayed at the Hampton Inn in Ridgefield Park. Had no issues whatsoever. Nice room, friendly staff. Was cheaper than the Hilton Garden Inn. Transfer to and from the port was I think dependent on how many people were staying there on the cruise. When we left for the port, they had 55 people coming back on a bus from the cruise terminal. We had arranged to go at 9:30am, and the Gen. Mgr. didn't want us to wait for the bus to get back, so took my wife and I herself to the port. A van picked us up from the port. We had requested 9am, which was early. There was traffic, and we were picked up at 9:30. Had no problems with the hotel or the area.
Thank you for your feedback! We've got it booked for our cruise, but I was anxious because the recommendations not to stay there because of the area.

Love the Gem! As said Spinnaker lounge, Great outdoors, Maltings was our favorite place for a drink, live the poolside bbq! We enjoyed the trivia in the atrium too, which has a great coffee place and free Danish in the a.m.

I loved the Getaway! I did not choose the pool area for my relaxation by the pool. I chose Spice H2O. It was very relaxing and did not cost anything additional. We had spa passes but rarely used them. The bathroom in the spa mini suite was well worth the additional cost over the spa balcony. In fact we spent a lot of evenings in spice as well watching the movies and then dancing.

Thanks for posting. I was not aware of this! I thought if I had the 3 and 4 free promotion and capacity allowed I could add another person at will.

Try one of the lines that cater to a younger crowd such as Norwegian, Carnival or Royal Caribbean. Search their website for your preferred dates. Most have good offerings from Miami or Fort Lauderdale.
Buy the upgraded dining package and you've get the better dining options.
For better service upgrade to a suite.
You can really get a wide range of pricing for the rooms.
Our first cruise we did an inside room, the kids loved it. Next outside, now we've moved them to balconies.
It depends on your personality as to which cruise line would be best for you.
